His mother ‘hung on’ because she honoured her coronation vow to serve the people until her last breath and the late Queen always endorsed her heir Charles, as the next King. The crown passes to the next in line by Law of succession, it would have gone to Andrew not Anne.

Charles failed to take the true oath to the people. Charles fails as a constutuional monach. The problem is people do not understand what a constitutional monach is and what is the one duty of the constitutional monach is to the people. To charles the oath is pomp and ceremony. It is a legal oath. Parliament ignores the oath and has rewritten the oath. Parliament think it is sovereign but the people are sovereign. The king is not sovereign. Listen to the oath that hasn't changed. I am the lowest in the land, meaning the sovereign people are above Charles and he his a servant of the people.
