Man, what a brilliant song. The Kinks were stretching out a bit here, having evolved from their classic power pop workouts into a more densely layered, nuanced style that showed great maturity but still rocked like hell. Much love.
THERE will "Never" be another band this great,..the Kinks mixed the humor and reality of Zappa with a form of blues that embarrassed the Stones ,, the Kinks were FAR BEYOND LEGIT !!
