We just watched Darjeeling Limited again this week and remembered how much we love this film and it’s soundtrack. We then got this strong impulse to cover Strangers by The Kinks. We love this song very much. (Also This Time Tomorrow is beautiful).
I’ve covered Strangers already by myself but this time it’s with the beautiful Lital on bass.
Strangers by The Kinks was written by Dave Davies, released in 1970.

Big Kinks fan and always love the Dave tracks. I love everything about you guys, but in particular i love how you play such incredible guitar parts Amir - so clean and well constucted - whilst singing. Super enjoyable to watch. Can easily spend an evening going through your videos and I never find a dud track. All killer no filler as they say :)

Probably my all time favorite kinks songs, and you are absolutely right it is overlooked.But i am glad it is. It makes it all the more special and intimate and true to the die hards. You would have to search to find, and would have less "grab hands" claiming. Make sense? (Hearing it less often makes it more special) I dont know. Simple and pure

That's it, the hat trick of my favourites. Bowie, nailed like no other. Dire Straits, nailed. And now The Kinks. What a beautiful rendition of one of the best songs in their collection of greats. The harmonies were simply perfection. I think you'd do a great rendition of The Kinks 'Lola' and Dire Straits 'Why Worry', but to be honest I think you could even make anything by the Sex Pistols sound superb.
