Cheers, Peter, and it produces a different type of bacteria than the bacci river I had and hopefully it will help clear the water up as well and it's always a bad idea to let Graham go shopping 💷💷💷🤣

Very nice 3 step kohaku. I'm looking forward to seeing how your new tower/foam fractionator works for you. I got some some of that media years ago in a large box filter. It seemed to work well. Got rid of the filter but still have the media although not in use at the moment. Hope you have great 'Open Day' at the Koi Collection.👍🏻

Andy, I’ve got the same foam fractionater , I just use it has trickle tower with grog in, has I couldn’t get no foam out off , no matter what I did do it, let us know iff you get foam out off please mate.

Hi mate, have you got the one where you have to adjust the foot plate because they can be difficult to get right, and when I finally get it fitted, hopefully, I can get it to work right. 🤞

@@DerbyKoi hi Andy, I had to retro fit foot plate into it, but still no foam,I had the media like you have to,but someone gave me two bags off different smaller type media for it to try which I never used, but I’m happy with it has a trickle tower,your more than welcome to try this media has I’m not many miles away from you near Ashby mate.

Wouldn't the black sinking K+ media be better in that trickle tower ?

Hi mate, K+ media is really for a static type filter and would probably clog up also the filter needs a media to create lots of air so it can defractionate the the water and remove the decomposing organic matter.

@@DerbyKoi K+ sinking might clog up if not drum filtered but I still think it would create lots of air and the water would take longer to flow down the tube which should aid oxygen transfer but I guess if it ain't broke don't fix it right.
