Newjeans seem to always represent something around a main character in these mv stories. It's very unique.

I agree with a video I saw that analysed ETA. The woman is working the situation with the boyfriend in her mind. She is not really driving under water. She did not run them over. I'm not even sure she saw them looking back at her from making love in the street. The police officers were there to remind her not to lose her head over this. When she is driving to the cliff, the clothing hanging from the trunk is only figuratively her boyfriend. She is trying to put him out of her mind. The cliff she drives to represents her state of mind. She's literally at the edge. Will she drive on over the cliff? The faces of Minji and Hanni are concerned (though they are not actually in the car). The woman leaves the car. She won't go over the edge.

This album has been out for 3 months already and I still have it on repeat on my spotify. It just never gets old to me.

The thumbnail.. that's actually my favorite shot of the whole ETA MV. So cinematic and Hanni's expression is just so perfect.

I thought that New Jeans were basically all in the girl's head. Like all the things they're reporting to the girl like "see your bf is basically making out", "he said baby say the words and I'm down". All these types of dialogues seems to be what the girl is basically thinking in her head of how things panned out when she saw those ger bf cheating. I thought that's why NJ members also become a police officer and not just one character. I especially had this thought bcoz of the scene of the girl seeing them underwater. It seemed it was her imagination of visualising her bf's cheating.

The MV was filmed in Italy. The last shot overlooks pass through the Apennine Mtns. The final shot through the window shows, coincidentally, the only Italian mountain that I'm able to recognize.

What an interesting Apple advertisement 🤔👀 But very interesting concept! I'm so amazed with their producer and their production quality. NewJeans has done a good job executing the whole thing, too, matching their visuals very well.

The funny thing about this song is that I only enjoy this song when I’m driving. If I am not driving I cannot stand this song. For me this is a song that I can only enjoy when I’m driving. I’m not sure why but there are times when there are certain songs that just work when I’m driving and that’s it and this is one of them.

I feel the intent is deliberately vague - NJ has has that kind of "Choose your own interpretation" for all their MVs and I think this is no exception. I like the idea that this is all the racing thoughts of the main character, the driver, as she tries to handle her own jealousy and betrayal at the news from New Jeans. However, I don't think that precludes the idea that it actually is really dark and she really does have one or both of them in the trunk. The reason I tend to lean towards the former personally is that at the very beginning of the video, when she gets all the "evidence" from New Jeans, she already has the green pendant in her car.

this song took a while for me to love because the instrumentals were a bit too much for me but after listening to it enough, it doesn’t really stand out as much any more in comparison to the vocals which i appreciate
