Hi, heres me playing devils advocate and over simplifying this issue: Idk if you can call China fucking up Koreans for past hundreds of years as "drama" lol EDIT: I keep getting replies. I see a lot of "why do Koreans hate seraphine" and "Koreans are so dramatic" type of comments. The purpose of why I made that comment is to answer that question, and play devil's advocate. Korean netizens, are extremely upset about Seraphine because she's Chinese. Yes. Chinese. That's because these Koreans are still bitter about China's history and repeated claims of taking Korean culture away... Such as claiming that the Korean Hanbok is China's, and claiming historical Korean settlements as theirs. If you don't know Korea, Japan, and China, have tense relationships due to war. I am korean and my family hate China and Japan for what they did during Korean war, and Japanese invasions, China for assisting these invasions along side with Russia, and many other things during imperial times. Infact, due to Japanese invasions it made Koreans (especially older generations) obsessed with "pure bloodline" as Japan raped many women, and committed many brutal crimes (which you can find yourself from watching documentaries if you wish) and so in other words.... my korean friends and family are not keen to the idea of dating non-koreans and non-whites. Some go far as not to purchase any Chinese made brands or Japanese brands. When it comes to me though, I do not care about Seraphine being Chinese. And I do not care about who I date, love is love. Infact my fiancee is non-korean, and my family disowned me for this. They refuse to see my loved one for EVEN 1 second. There are many Korean/Non-Korean couples that show this struggle of parents refusing to even SEE their loved one. Example would be a youtuber "Love Withstanding" video titled "Brought my blasian fiancee to meet my Korean parents unannounced" What i have an issue about is when people call this bitterness and hatred "drama". I do not think it is drama! It is very serious and should be treated seriously, to say it is drama sounds very dismissing and mitigating. This bitterness and hatred isnt random or appeared in 2k20. It's been generational and deep rooted. It's real, it's not drama. TLDR : I'm not mad about seraphine, just playing devils advocate about Korean Netizens who are mad. The Baddest - Akali solo Villain - Evelynn solo Drum Go Dum - Kai'Sa solo I'll Show You - Ahri solo In their Spotify takeover they all talk about what inspired them to create the song, what they wanted their audience to feel when listening to it, what they themselves felt. Every song has multiple artists on it, yes. However only Ahri's has Korean (she's the only Korean character), so it's hard to pinpoint solo as in production (they are all credited on their respective solo songs) or as in the character sings the song.

I feel like when POPstars played around with the character's powers, it was the focus of the shot. And in More, they're still there, but they look more like generic music video special effects, and I love both MVs! Like Kai'sa's stuttering image to the beat in popstars, and in More, all the tortured men as statues/props for Evelynn's backdrop. POPstars was more fantastical, and More is more typical, but still incorporating fantasy, and it's more subtle. Idk, I just think both videos are so cool for both reasons! All that being said, a goddess/angel/demon concept with even more of their powers would be soooooo cool :0

@@ToriCake95 While that is most definitely the case, popularity of a singular idol within a group does not (or at least... SHOULD not) diminish the importance of the rest of the group. Miyeon, for example, is their best singer... that in and of itself leads to a drastic difference in sound if she just wasn't there. And on the topic of THIS particular group/song... yes, Akali/Soyeon gets parts that stand out a lot. But you know who sings arguably the most important part of the song, aka, THE HOOK? Miyeon, in tandem with Madison. As the OP suggested, the hook is, fundamentally, the base of a song. Without the hook, you'd just have what amounts to a rap cypher, not a full song. Just like without the rest of (G)-Idle, Soyeon would just be a solo rapper. Obviously, that isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it's not what (G)-Idle nor KDA are about.

look at the chorus dance, no way they are animated individually. first that is just stupid, second imagine doing full body chorus-length animation with facial expression 5 times. plus that chorus animation is maybe not even mocapped, looks too rigid if you compared it with real dancer

Check out TBSkyen he's an artist/animator that analyses pretty much everything riot releases mind you those videos are very long 1-2 hours. Anyway, you can pause the video at any time when they dance in group or just go frame by frame and they are never in sync, sometimes it's actually very obvious.

They probably changed her for this feature to Lexie Liu due to her being more popular and known in China (where the championship finals were hosted this year) than Jasmine Clarke, who’s mixed and more American oriented.

Riot, as all other video game developers, hired VAs for their champions (in-game characters) but most VAs aren't professional singers so in order to promote the champions, Riot hired established singers to lend their voices in certain songs. sometimes the contract applies for multiple songs (e.g. soyeon voiced Akali for 4 different songs: pop stars, giants, the baddest, and more) but most of the times they only hire certain singers/rappers for specific songs bcs the producers probably thought their voices suited the song best (e.g. Bea Miller as Evelynn in the baddest, TWICE's jihyo, sana, chaeyoung and Annika wells and bekuh boom as ahri in I'll show you). now this specific song is a special case bcs these 4 girls reprised their roles from K/DA's debut song, pop stars, I think that's because they caught people's attention on pop stars and most K/DA and/or LoL fans agreed that those 4 girls were the best voice contributors for K/DA.
