I love how literally all of us were waiting for PD’s reaction to villain. Like it is THAT song

I love how the lyrics can stand alone but also play perfectly in their overarching story from album to album. Bewitched was their last "MV" and spoke of how the witch had finally corrupted and took them over. This is them bewitched still, villains under the witch's control, and the old life they speak about is pre corruption. The voice that is calling Dia is her own, lost under the spell. Fantastic writing and storytelling. Heck, even the choreo tells the story in the strange angles in their movements. It's all so good.

Pixy is by far the most underrated group in kpop right now. This group is UNMATCHED, their talent, their sound, their concept. Everything! Thank you for supporting them!

i've read that their main vocal is missing here and honestly, considering that they managed to make an awesome song without crazy high note and belting stuff which is so cool and interesting! ( i haven't heard of them before so i know nothing about them but i need to keep an eye on them now 👀 )

PIXY is the most underrated girl group for me.

The whole Reborn album is absolutely magnificent. I've been playing it every chance I get, watching every reaction to Villain, and watching every single stage/fancam video... and I still want more. The fact that they gave us such a spectacular entry into their discography without Ella just shows how great of a group they really are. I completely agree with you on the sense that the company cares about this group. The car that they used belongs to the CEO and he stayed late to help film that scene. Oh, and in a statement about Ella they said that they discussed the comeback with her and it went ahead with her blessing. I love AllArt for what they are doing for PIXY. The storyline for this is so great. Like who is the woman in shadow in the m/v?? There's a video of the members reacting to the m/v and they teased "oooooooh, I wonder who that could be??" It's hilarious, and omg am I ever excited to see who it is. I don't think it looks like Ella... Honestly, wherever the PIXY and AllArt take the story, I'm there for it. Next comeback when?!

Pixy has done nothing but get better with every comeback and to be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if they really start to grow exponentially in Korea within the next few comebacks. I really love their concept and story line. These girls are growing naturally as idols and they really deserve all the love because they worked their ass off for it!

Great reaction😁 I thought you were going to notice the missing parts in the chorus! I find that SUPER cool and here's my take: We know this comeback is about them being REBORN, living new lives (hence the lyrics and them killing their past selves), but somehow getting FLASHBACKS to their past lives. The company highlights the role of the GLITCH in this comeback. We can see this represented visually in the MV but also musically - the song is FULL of glitch sounds, plus the really creepy whispering (if you listen to the instrumental, you'll see just how creepy it is😰). Plus, the chorus lacks parts! This can also be seen as a glitch of sorts. Here's an example: Dropped that f_____ that in the l___ I used to have as Baby I just lost my m_mory in the new ____ Personally, I think this is absolutely GENIUS and explains so much! It's like the present is glitching (hence the hacker/Matrix references in Lola's parts), and THAT'S why they're able to access knowledge about their past lives (like the creepy whispers).

That "Swallowed" part Lola does at 16:21 is also a callback to Bewitched and how they gave into temptation. I also love how they unalive their "old" selves and take their places.

Villain is my first Pixy song and now I'm so far down the rabbit hole I don't know where I am anymore. I love their concept and their fresh sound so much. If I could somehow propel them into superstardom I would. I really hope they get more recognition because their music is just incredible.

I was kinda anxious about this comeback without Ella. Her voice gives so much to their songs, didn't really know what was coming out. But they did really well, focused on the members strengths and pulled off this incredible song. Love it, and the b sides are amazing as per usual, each with their own flavor

the horns makes me think of electro swing, and i love it. its like the song is kpop meets billie eilish meets electro swing. ALSO: THE WAY THE FOOTSTEPS IN THE MV WHEN SHE'S GOING TO SHOOT SYNC WITH THE LITTLE VOCALIZATIONS LEADING UP TO THE CHORUS GIVES ME CHILLS.

i’m so obsessed with this song and comeback! the whole mini album is also so fucking good, you should give it a listen for sure. i think the girls did very well and all of them shined so well throughout every song. literally obsessed. they are so slept on it’s unbelievable. 😭

i never quite liked any of pixy’s music and wasn’t expecting much watching villian but WOW. my mind was blown. The fashion, the buildup to the chorus, the instrumental changes, these girls smooth delivery with the verses, the editing and mv visuals, and THE CHOREO?? mind blown. if you weren’t a fan before, you definitely are now.

The song took me a few tries to get used to but the MV kept me coming back for more. It was really enjoyable to watch

I agree when you say their team seems to care and believe in them, which is amazing to see, doesn't happen too often in kpop and I can sort of only see that with RBW a little bit. PIXY's potential is through the roof and since Allart is a nugu company it's just gonna take more time, but I'm certain that one way or another these girls will get their deserved recognition, its a matter of time! When it comes to the song it's also not my favorite but it doesn't really matter, its still decent and easy to groove to, they've released plenty of bangers already ill let this one go. 😆

Pixy is a very interesting group...The production of their songs are very good. Allot of effects are used in this song. The MV looks really expensive.

I honestly think this music video is one of my all time favorites in kpop, just ruling out my favorites based on emotional attachment. I love what they did with how this was shot and the details they put into the personas and even the sets. One of the scenes that just makes me shimmy around in my seat is when Satbyeol does her verse with the papparazzi and then it cuts to her walking amidst photographers supposedly taking pictures of evidence at a crime scene. I love the contrast and the juxtaposition of that entire part, the details of the fancy red rope barriers turning into yellow tape just had me so excited. Also, If you watch the music video a couple more times, you'd pick up on how much thought was put into this because if you look at the personas who were being shot/offed (Dia, Satbyeol, and Dajeong), you'd notice that their hair colors are the ones from their debut. So, in a way they actually visualized them offing their past selves. Their entire album is also such a great listen. My friend and I listened to it together in a call and I wish we had our cameras on because she would have seen how my face kept morphing as we went deeper into the album. Each song brings it's own identity while still tying in with the theme of being Reborn this comeback. Overall, spectacular comeback from the girls and the people at ALLART.

The structure of Villain is so weird at the 1rst time, not usual kpop structure but when i listen the audio, i love it and i love the choreo too, they dance on the floor again when Dia is the center and Dia's charisma when she looks at her finger and do a movement with a finger wow!

This comeblack blew me away

the key aspect of this comeback to me as a new fan is how the whole concept is so well thought and deeply absorved that it can be seen in every aspect of the production, from each detail the song itself to the details of the choreo up to the lighting, color and overall MV - movie like direction. They accept their villainess ending their former selves and commiting crimes than enjoy themselves at the crime scene before going out to celebrate at the end

My favourite tt of theirs along with Bewitched which i didn't know it was possible. Actual 11/10 songs. And their album also did not disappoint, so good and so unique and still very pixy-like. The way they just rose to ult group status in record time since Addicted and still manage to surpass themselves has me shook.

I've been excited to see you react to Villain PD. After long deliberation I came to the conclusion that Villain is my favorite title track with Bewitched in close 2nd. I noticed that Dajeong's "villain" version shoots the original Dajeong in the head, you see the difference from how the viallain Dajeong has black hair, and the original Dajeong has red hair, like she had in the past songs. The villains killed the original Pixy members.

Dajeong impressed me to do the very high note in b-side specially in Swan song and we have more Lola/Saebyeol's rap in b-side specially in Swan song, they rap fast in it and in b-side Lola and Saetbyeol sing too!

Everything about the storytelling in this comeback is absolutely perfect. Redacting all the lyrics in the chorus that refers to their prior life AFTER the first introduction of the "villain" line is so SO GOOD. Also Dia humming their previous b-side "Insomnia" then not finishing it, giggling, and shooting her past self? GENIUS! So much thought and care put into this song and video. Love it so much. Loved your interpretation of the lighting mirroring the same theme after the "villain" hits.

On first listen I honestly wasn't sure if I would love this, but every single subsequent listen I just grow to love Villain more and more. The entire new album is 100% bangers, and this comeback has cemented them as my favorite rookie group.

The whole album is literal top tier, Natural and Swan Song are so good as b-sides, these girls and their company keeps serving so good, please let them get the recognition that they deserve! Groups like PIXY and Billlie are bring something very fresh and new in kpop, I LOVE IT. Also Villain being electro swing is so f*cking cool, they're the only 4th gen gg having an electro swing title!

Honestly, at this point it's just criminal how such an amazing work from all department is not yet rewarded with much more recognition. This song is easy Top 5 this year, it's bold, daring and highly original. I love how they leave out words in the chorus, it adds an extra layer of coolness to the whole thing. Plus there's a couple of iconic dance moves. The EP is simply brilliant and Swan Song is an anthem.

I honestly love everything about this. a subtle detail, when they're shooting themselves, they're dressed in the purple dresses and have the hair colours from Winx era, which I thought was super clever. I also love how in the beginning, the way the prechorus goes kinda sounds like a siren, which makes it sound slightly creepy, but in a beautiful way. also, the way they don't just look like they enjoy the attention, they actually look giddy the closer the cameras come, which adds to that slightly childish vibe you mentioned. I also found it interesting that, although they seem to be enjoying their villain era very much, the choreography, with all the angles and stiffness, makes it look like someone is controlling them, possibly the witch from bewitched, so it's cool to see that contrast and it makes me wonder where the storyline is going next

The way I see this from a cinematography way is that the media always puts out the controversies or bad parts of someone's day-to-day life. However, these celebrities never saw themselves as the villain, but when they feel that part of them talking, they start embracing the part of them they've never discovered or expand upon. Interesting concept for a music video and I absolutely love how unorthodox the music itself is.
