So far I didn't really understand what Kung Fu is about and what this documentary tries to convey. When I saw that old man be so passionate about his spear I didn't understand why a martial art is so important to him. But after seeing this young girl work so hard and perform even with a fractured leg I understand that Kung Fu is not about mastering the martial art. Kung Fu is about mastering yourself. And this spirit lives in each and every practitioner.

I saw wisdom in your first words. For Kung Fu is just a selfdefense practice which was taken to a level of a religion by people with no knowledge of the true God. Your last words contradict your first good and natural sense: a handicap person finding fulfillment in a fighting technique. Vicious are still around the corner

I like the part of the kick boxer and the little. Dedication and perseverance and patience. When you want to feed yourself and your family, you have no time for quarrel and social media and going out. You have no time to be stressed out. You don't have time to be fat or ugly. All these are distractions. You're only thinking about how to make it big.

Ancient Shaolin temple teached subjects are, 1. Philosophy (zen, Buddhism, Taoism) for mind strongness; 2. Physical training (excercises, Kung fu, meditation) for body strongness; 3. Medicine (herbs knowledge, disease & injuries healing, health science, longevity of natural life).

Shaolin kungfu is not for fighting because fighting hurts not only the body but also the heart. The winner usually becomes arrogant and the loser always wants revenge. No fight, No blame is das only way to peace. There is no happiness higher than rest. Break the flower-tipped arrows of Mara and death will not touch me again. Painful is birth. Painful is death. Painful is birth and death over and over again. There is no pain like this body; he who truly knows this becomes arhat, and thereby attain nirvana.

Why is only ONE competition held which determines the colleges their qualified for! In the us there are competitions available all year and school represents go and draft students. Imagine the ramifications if you just happen to be sick or not able to attend on that day. Crazy

At 4.00 he mentioned in Thailand all boxing competitions happen at night...that’s a complete false statement. Lumpini, Raja and channel 7 stadiums are all during the day. Also boxing fights are the during the day. Get your facts right!

A serious fracture!?! Is that FFR? It looks more like a bad bruise or the worst, a hairline fracture. There’s no way she could walk or exert any pressure on her knee is it was a serious fracture, let alone be jumping and kicking in the competition.🤔🤣

I found this the saddest episode of this series. These people left the Shaolin tradidition with only half the knowledge which is why they know nothing else except the martial arts aspect and their only recourse is to find work in defence and security.

You know when the guy said that movie is about REAL kung fu and no stunts, no wires, that is a total lie. I looked at that movie and it is full of wire fu and boring stuff that is not even close to Bruce Lee style real kung fu action. Lame!

Kickboxing is a mix of boxing and karate or tkd; muay thai emged in Thailand and has nothing to do with kung fu. Notice the fact that kung fu and kickboxing have no similarities

@@luiscorzo8434 Sanda also known as Sanshou or Chinese Kickboxing is a sport based on Wushu Style of Kung Fu. The guy probably learned Sanda first but since there are less practitioners of Sanda in China he opted to go to Thailand where the sport is prevalent and mainstream. And it good as he can train better and be better prepared with his kickboxing career once he goes back to China.

He calls it a "real Kung Fu" movie, but it's more of the same nonsense of fighting 50 men at once. It doesn't look impressive, it looks silly. I'd be far more impressed to see a movie where he fights 3 men of immense power and skill, not 50 incompetent fighters who all go down on the first strike.
