Thank you for this brilliant interview with Jennifer Beals. Our lesbian community is very fortunate to have had her step up as an actor to take on and own the character of Bette Porter in The L Word. Jennifer has consistently and lovingly supported our community. She is so thoughtful and well spoken - most especially when talking about the impact the show had on its fans. My sincere thanks to her, Kate and Leisha for recognizing the fact that we needed this show to come back into the world to give us hope, laughter and a connection with our community. ❤️🌈
When Jennifer said: When your biological family doesn't see you... to find those people who do see you and do nourish you and do support you is incredibly important. ...Even if those who see you are characters on a show. They are my earliest chosen family members and their representation meant the world to me.
There's nothing wrong with personal questions. Whether they choose to answer them or not is up to them, but they're certainly more interesting than predictable soft balls.
I'd go: - Season 1: Groundbreaking, unforgettable. - Season 2: Best season ever. - Season 3: Way too dark and depressing. Not one you want to watch a second time. - Season 4: Fun, lots of comedy and less drama. Refreshing, light. - Season 5: Fun, but something is missing. Too over the top thanks to the movie storyline. - Season 6: NEVER EXISTED
3 plus Tina. Laurel Holloman. When she makes her appearance in the sixth episode it was like now the series is complete. Bette n Tina are a thing on the LWord. They are a must!!!
Britney Jones Cooper might be the best interviewer/ host I've seen in a long time. Thanks so much for this in depth interview. I actually learned new things about the show and Mrs Beals.
Wow! Ms. Brittany did a Fantastic Job. One of the best interviews I have seen in a long time. These two ladies are not ownly beautiful but they are smart, intelligent and engaging. Bravo 👏👏
Amazing interview, the quality I have come to expect from Build Series. Jennifer Beals is articulate and kind as always. Thumbs up, thank you for this great content.
Thanks to actress Jennifer Beals! For the best actor, so he reboots for a series! Because there is evidence for everyone who claims to be human! I really hope you have a long run! Protecting that they have a place in Society!
4:02 She represents me at that time, I ❤️ BETTE PORTER SO MUCH, estoy aprendiendo inglés por ella, la amo y quiero entender cada palabra que sale de su boca 🥰
How is it possible for Angelica to be 16 when the L word only came out in 2004 and Angelica was born in s2-3 a couple years later? Whatt I guess they just chose it would be better for Angie to be older. I got no clue
Athena Vlassis My thoughts exactly, but it is fiction. Guess that her character would be more fleshed out if she is a bit older, but yes you are correct it doesn’t fit the timeline
No 1 else had the balls or the vag to even attempt to take the place of The L Word, or any sort of real lesbian TV or even movies at the point of the end of TLW.
I AGREE TOTALLY! Yeah..I know that I already commented on this, but a comment as STRONG AND TO THE POINT AS YOURS WAS...IS WORTH.agreeing with MORE THAN ONCE!! SEE YA AROUND DUDE!
@@jeffreyhaskins3465 Thanks, I'm just surprised that no 1 else would say anything close to my comment. You know I kind of hate how they said no 1 took over after TLW, but it's for reasons mentioned in my earlier comment.
I also love Bette. My favourite character in the Original and Generation Q. I really love her relationship with Angelica in Generation Q. Gone a long way from kidnapping her hey😅
I love the character Shane...she's the toughest sexiest ever she wonderful. Yes I have a crush...I would just like to have dined shirt by her or one of her hats...she gives me strength. ...you rock
