Why the Epstein Hitting System?: The Epstein Hitting system was created by 10-year Major League player, Mike Epstein. In addition to leading the 1972 World Series champion A’s in home runs, Mike played for arguably the greatest hitter of all-time, Ted Williams…Using what he learned from his career and from Ted Williams, Mike built a system to identify and fix swing faults. Mike received the only letter of recommendation for hitting instruction Ted Williams ever gave out…After working closely with Mike to learn the craft of teaching hitting, Epstein Hitting is now led by Jake Epstein…Jake has perfected the use of video analysis to create a plan to maximize a player’s swing. In addition to slow-motion video analysis, Jake has built a library of drills that he uses to address the unique needs of individual players. For more information, log on to www.epsteinhitting.com.

another great video, let me ask you, Ideally when the hitter strive where do you want the belt buckle to be facing , home plate, back or forward?

Just some insight, that "knee wobble" is actually the result of him begining his drive. Think of it like a squat or deadlift, the knees caving in is weak form. If the knee were to invert it would mean he's driving with the inside of his foot and calf, not his hips and legs. That inversion would also release his hip hinge taking away from his power and timing, meaning if his knee didnt "wobble" he would have been way out Infront of a breaking pitch. The back knee, hips and hands should all be connected. If the knee leaks too early then so will the hips and the hands making it harder to adjust to off-speed and no power is being stored as well. Look closely as the "knee wobble happens" what does he do simultaneously with his front leg? Hes not only getting separation in his hands and shoulders but his back knee and hip as well

He's also torquing his hips which is causing that external rotation. Think of it as the reverse of a normal swing. When you finish both knees end the same direction, front knee externally rotated. So when you load both knees should essentially be in the same direction with the back knee externality rotated. The only difference is one is a load and one is a release of power so we don't fully rotate with the lower half in the load but the upper half, as you said, turns to basically face the catcher and then finishes facing the pitcher
