Calling someone a "snake" is a comment on their character and personality, not their skin color. It's also false narrative to suggest that the anti-Semitism issue led to Labour's 2019 defeat, as this documentary does. Only a small percentage of voters named it as a reason for not voting Labour. I have a lot of respect for Peter Oborne, even though I disagree with him politically. He took part in a documentary called We Are Many about the Iraq war where he holds his hands up and says he was wrong to support it and he didn’t see what others saw until it was too late. He also resigned from the Daily Telegraph because they wouldn’t let him publish his article criticising HSBC, a big donor to the paper. He’s a man with integrity.
