They haven’t, and they really still don’t… its too many guards not enough wings or bigs, we still need to be better on the boards, we need another big and wing to solidify our size and rebounding, and versatile wing for the big guards and skilled opposing wings… if I am being honest we may need to move vando, not because his health but more because we need a wing that can provide offense and defense and his defense don’t cover up the gaping weaknesses on the offensive side he brings… I love him but we have to be able to generate offense from that position when Rui hits the bench…
@@rcmysm9123 ok so why was it that the last season we were top 6 in scoring, top 6 in FGM, 2nd In FG%, 2nd in FTM and FTA, 2nd in Def Reb, 5th in assist, but was the 8th seed in the play-in, i can tell you why because we were 18th in overall Rebounds because we were dead last in offense rebounding, 24th in 3pm, and because our only defensive big is AD our paint defense was 19th… and our guards can’t really play defense so it put too much pressure on AD to clean up everything… they look good these first two games but I can see the flaws are still there, we just have a lot of new energy… im worried about once the season settles in… and the ‘newness’ wears off, and other teams find their rhythm… I am a fan so I hope they can sustain this, but I don’t like the what I saw last night… they came back and won but I saw shades of the same Lakers that have been 10 seeds a bulk of the last 2 years…
If Lakers LOST their first 2 games, the Laker trolls be like: "They're finished" "Le(insert derogatory term) is too old" "JJ Redick is a bust" Since Lakers WON their first 2 games, the Laker trolls be like: "It's too early in the season" Trolls will keep on trolling no matter what the Lakers do. All I can say is, the Lakers beat 2 QUALITY teams for their first 2 games. Off to a promising start. Keep it up!
If Austin can play like that every game I’m cool with LeBron being the third option lol. Obviously there is a ton of scoring on this team so that won’t be an every night event. It’s cool in theory.
Honestly, yes it is too early to predict things. But as many videos about the Lakers has mentioned.. it may only be just 2 games.. but you can see the massive improvements compared to the Lakers last season when they became so lost and done with Coach Ham. Even in the preseason until their 2-0 start, there’s just a whole different vibe of the team. They’re so fluid on offense, rebounding well, and not turning the ball a lot!! They finally are running the offense through AD, something they were saying since after the Bubble. I mean last season had some low points tbh…many of the role players that they needed were injured. Some coming back literally before post season and not exactly in NBA shape. The starting line up constantly changes because of those injuries, so nobody really knew what their roles were going to be and that’s when they’ll start being inconsistent. Those players would be in a rhythm for a couple games and then have bad games the next couple of games. The only players who were actually played 70+ games were AR, Bron, and AD. Which is funny cuz even after AD finally had a season where he played 70+ and was playing great..nba analysts and fans still say OHH..he’s injury prone..can he sustained this kind of play for this season? I’m like YES HE JUST DID IT LAST SEASON? He’s been healthy and playing well from the Olympics, preseason, and until now. They’re still going to question if he’s reliable??!! I mean I get it..freak accidents/injuries, back spasms, and etc can happen in the season. But have a little bit more faith in AD, he’s proven himself last season.
It's just 2 games but regardless you can see a huge difference in those 2 games. Team is finally playing actual basketball. With Ham it was just 'ok give the ball to Bron and see what he can figure out with AD'.
The biggest thing is Austin’s constant movement, kind of like curry and Reggie miller back in the days. You can’t cheat as a defender. He also has the ability to grab rebounds with his constant movement.
@@Vandexeneffectsby very big margins too. Even making a comeback and then further extending their run with the suns. I don’t think people will admit how good this lakers team truly is but it’s kind of scary as to what they might be able to do this year.
I just hate small games sample sizes going 3 and 0 starting off the season hot is good but means nothing its a long season you start to realize if a team is a true contender 20 games in then you can judge a team for who they are 😌
Now 3-0. I can't believe it not gonna lie. 2 years of Darvin Ham conditioned me to think that we woulda lost the last 2 games (Kings last night and Suns the night before). Holy crap we might actually be able to pull something off this season.
I have seen almost every single Laker game last season. This is virtually the same team, except a swap of Taurean Prince for Konect 4. In my humble opinion between the horrible lineups, bad timeout selection, lack of ball movement, bad defensive rotations and way too many 3 point attempts for the undisputed worst shooting team on the league, there was 0 chance of them winning these 2 games last year. Nope. The ball movement, the defense and best of all the 3 point attempts reduction in favor of attacks at the basket make this team look completely different.
@@macxavier168Respectfully disagree. Aside from the Bulls, the Lakers are the worst shooting team talent wise. However I would love to be proven wrong, and it is possible that I will if Connect 4 and Gabe Vincent continue to shoot well. It also wouldn't hurt if D Lo would wake tf up...
Biggest crime the Lakers have done for the past few seasons is to keep forcing AD to play 5, a role he really does not want. I doubt we get the trophy this year but I'll be happy to see the team play well and have a decent coach with good ideas on how to play through stretches
Knack needs to be unleashed. I know he’s a rookie. That’s how he will learn but his shooting is too good to leave on the bench and only play 5 min. That’s my only gripe.
Coming from a laker fan it’s not how we start it’s how we finish I’ll wait til About 20 Games has been played to make my judgement they look good so far though
they have their best player ANTHONY DAVIS balling out as always but their role players werent consistent reddick's role on every players looks good now
I saw the Lakers pre-season, and I knew they'd be good, but not this good. Every single guy on the roster seems to have an increase in confidence, guys are moving with purpose, the offense flows well, the defense looks organized, and this is all happening with the shooters still out of rhythm. JJ Redick so far has been very impressive.
pre-season projections by the gm's and analysts: Lakers wont make it even the paly-in 😂😂😂 Shaq himself: Lakers will struggle under JJ for the first 10 games 😮
2:49 - Look at Booker's body language. He's frustrated and justifiably mad. He's the only one chasing the ball and his team is flat-footed staring into the headlights.
Lakers fans deserve a competent coach last one we had was Phil imo even tho we won with Vogel still don’t think we’ve had any coach make us believe in their system since then
tuff game as a laker fan i have feeling we will lose but i hoipe we win ! Reason i feel like we will lose because last season we really struggled against kings
They are running a Boston offense it's that instead of shooting alot of 3's they drive to the basket more. Probably because they don't have shooters like Boston.
Need point guard to replace Gabe Vincent, who is our weakest link, and hope Christian Wood or someone can be an option in case something happens to AD.
@@RaggedKnowledge96 he should of won it last year but the league loves to Rudy G. Feel like they give him one every year and ad has zero. Something fishy there . Why pick the French guy over the American?? Weird.
How are the Lakers making haters look foolish when it's just 2 games into the season. Nuggets a powerhouse team the past few years are 0-2. They can prove haters wrong by getting into the playoffs seeded and not via play in.
Foolish is the people who believe this is REAL! It's damn near impossible for the Lakers to lose when they receive so much help from the league, it's always 8 against 5 on the court! The refs bias for Lebron that extends to the laker is unreal! Giving Lebron & company undeserving calls, swallowing the whistle like TD. Jakes when Lebron & his minions foul their opponents! The free throw discrepancy is down right criminal, receiving more than double than any other team over 400 foul calls yearly for the pass 3 years! And it's the same pattern if you watch closely, the refs continue to make calls in favor of the Lakers when they're down, it all starts in the middle of the 3rd. Quarter, they keep the lakers in striking distance allowing them to tie or take the lead before the fourth quarter begins! They continue until the Lakers(Fakers) have a 10 PIONT Cushing, and only then the refs begin to call the game fairly! To cover up the free throw discrepancy to make it appear even on paper! It's nothing but smoke & mirrors, old fashion deception ,to determine the desired out come! Foolish people are often CONFUSED by this, just dumb sheep blindly led to the slaughter! And just how Bronny James, who was undeservently drafted into the NBA, strong-armed in by hook or crook, just to give favor to a Big spoiled man - child(Lababy) So.......... with that being understood, "ENJOY YOUR 3 MANUFACTURED WINS!"
As a diehard Lakers fan, lets not get too excited it is too early still , Redick can easily still become a scapegoat after a couple of more games, I remember being excited for Luke Walton at one point lol This feeling is way too familiar already🤦♂️
Austin reeves lol, jj is trying to save him. DK is the real stand out. AR needs to come off the bench. AR’ this is why people think you new laker fans are slow. Show how the suns cooked him. Everyone looks great alongside AD lol DK will be an allstar in AR spot
