I agree with just about everything that you have assessed except for throwing in the towel on Nikola Jokić! Sure, Joker is a bruiser and is darn near unstoppable but leaving him alone or not keying in on him would just be ignorant and would also seem to be playing into Denver's hands as well as doing exactly what they want competing teams, especially the Lakers to do. Again, we all know that he is quite a force but he definitely requires attention just as his backups do. The key here is to be able to attend to all of them, to fluster, bug and draw them into foul trouble, to at least slow them down if not completely stop them in general. People keep bringing up the recent records but this is not the same Lakers team as it was not only to start the season but it's also a completely different team than it was during the Playoffs last season. Two Lakers had the worst outings of their careers during last seasons sweep and two a Denver Nuggets has the best seasons of their careers and they still barely won. This is not the same Lakers team, mindset, strategy etc. And they have gotten better and more in tuned with each other since last season. This isn't the same Denver team either and have gotten slightly worse since last season. Combined with these facts and the fact that the Lakers are now in tune and are more familiar with Denver I will be nice and say Lakers in 6. This generously gives Denver two games when the Lakers may completely sweep them back under the rug where they belong if the Lakers get hot. Something that we have seen they are completely liable to do at any given time. Go Lakers in 2024🎉🎉🎉

Dlo/AR got shut down last year by Denver's (taller) players. Since that hasn't been solved, at least put G/F in there that are better defensively, and leave the bulk of the offense to our bigs. Find ways to exploit the paint. Get someone to shut down Murray - AD if necessary. . Starters: LJ, AD, RH, GV/SD, JH/TP (?) Concentrate on defense and scoring in the paint, with some threes. Maybe put LJ on Jokic.

@@Bluetooth_ezyup , lebron got better shooting now , DLO is has gotten more consistent plus they added more spot up shooting with Spencer and Gabe . But they do have to have a game plan in defending the joker Jamal action with constant eyeballs on MPJ and Gordon . Jamal and joker will have to play dam near perfect like last year to win this series , but I think for sure it goes 7 games this year … the lakers have the offense to compete with them as long as lebron is ready to take over in the 4th if the supporting cast does what they supposed to do. I think the joker will have to average a dam near 40 point triple double to win em the series because they have better guards to stay in front of Jamal while also having more to make him work . Not sure who has the better bench though

@@Champsreef303 wrong, Jared, plus Gabe, Reddish. We were labeled bad defensively because of injuries to those guys being out. Plus Wood, he can get A block or two as well. It was Bruce Brown and Jeff green that was on the bench doing damage. With any LeBron James squad that switches up players EVERY year. You can't judge them during thevn regular season. His squads get stronger as the yr goes on.

@@marcgranger4786Doesn’t matter Reaves and DLo can’t guard Murray that’s why you only have one of them on the court at the same time, Vincent is excellent defense player, the Lakers will need Dinwiddie to also guard Murray, Reaves can come off the bench and contribute that way, the Lakers have NO chance unless their guards play great defense 😂

I didn’t quite make it as big of a point, but yes, Gabe’s added size/strength is what sets him apart from Schroder here in regard to a matchup like Murray. For Cam however, he’s simply not that same player that he was back in November. His lateral mobility has greatly been affected by this ankle injury. He was active during the last Lakers/Nuggets matchup and was really getting taken advantage of by Murray.

@@JSM24 Yeah, that was a really bad game by Cam but one game sample coming off an injury isn't a great measure is all I am trying to say. Closest thing to playoff atmosphere this year was the last two Tournament games and Cam's defense was turned up. The injury might prevent him from getting to that gear not sure, but it was amazing to watch. Would have loved to see that version of him against Murray

@@MaybeLoveHateI might be wrong but I think the injury JSM is referring to is an ankle injury Cam picked up in late January against the Clippers. That was after the IST so he wasn’t hampered by that ankle injury during that game against the Pacers In the tournament I think.

@@JM_Hoops Cam's health has been dealt a very bad hand this season. Injuring his ankle in his first preseason game, then pulling his groin against the Jazz, then injuring his ankle again on a bad fall (I still hate Harden for how awkwardly he fell after getting blocked by Cam and sticking his foot out)... he just does not have the athletic burst that he had earlier on in the season. Hopefully he heals up enough to be able to contribute when ready.

The Nuggets never have more than 1 non shooter on the court (literally only Aaron Gordon who can sometimes get hot). You can’t just “play big” to focus on Jokic. Those kind of lineups will get shot off the court due to not being able to keep up with all the movement, picks, pin-downs, etc..
