Lakers fan cycle: Overhype the team Claim to be championship contenders despite being a play in seed Lose because of bad play Blame the coach and fire them Hire a new coach whose worse
The lakers organization is dumb including whoever thought it was a good idea of breaking up that bubble team. Also I wish the Lakers weren’t focused on star talent cuz it bites them in the end.
@@unknownfan358it’s craz how much work AD was able to put in during the 2020 playoffs when he wasn’t the only person capable of defending jokic *cough* dwight howard
Why is everyone talking about everything but that Gordon had breakfast, lunch, and dinner on LeBron .LeBron needs to move to the guard spot so they can look for a defensive small forward and a quality big
Because LeBron was playing where he needed to play. They were letting AD roam, so Bron had to play the post spot. Where Gordon was ending up was exactly where he needed to be. Gordon couldn't have played that any better. That was a failure to adjust the defensive plan. They aren't just simply playing man to man like you probably do on 2k.
@jetsettech8804 LeBron ended on Gordon on more than one possession, LeBron ended up watching as the man got every rebound and cuts that he wanted. LeBron couldn't stop all of the possessions, but if he could have boxed out to delay Gordon from the rebound or even contests, some of the cuts I do think the score wouldn't have been close in some of those games. Denver could have been had
@sakhilemalinga177 he didn't "end up" on Gordon because it wasn't man to man. Defense isn't as simple as "I have him, you get the other guy" zone defense exists.
@jetsettech8804 I know you like LeBron but now you just lying LeBron watch him cut in front at the back of him breaking the zone on LeBron. If LeBron bo longer want to use his body to contests and box out then he should pay the point guard, the we have Ham inability take Gordon off of LeBron was also weird
I feel like both LA teams really need to blow up their cores at this point. I know the NBA won't like it because of the LA market and both teams not being good for a while, but both teams absolutely need to rebuild and have a massive shake up from the top down. The one thing you don't want to do is try to write on this hamster wheel of insanity and then get forced into a rebuild.
These same Lakers fans who complained about Darvin Ham knew his flaws as a coach and stilled picked the Lakers to win the series. And the reason Reaves was benched is cause he started off the year horribly.
A fan can’t have faith in their team lol. I knew deep down we were going to lose, but I still picked the lakers to win. Also what were we supposed to do as fans? Should we have gone and fired him ourselves? Your point about AR15 is fair, but with that logic how was Prince playing so many minutes? Nearly every lineup he was in had a negative net rating, and this is the point you don’t get. We don’t have a problem with Darvin making adjustments like benching Austin if he plays bad, but his treatment of players isn’t equal across the board. If Austin was benched for poor play, Prince should’ve been cut from the team.
Thats what ive been talking about for a long time now. People that arent blaming darvin ham dont actually watch the games. So who are they to say whos fault it is
I like how no one is going to talk about how Darvin is lebrons guy from lebrons agency Im sure rich paul is laughing all the way to the bank. Lakers still on the hook for 10m for Darvin
Whats is lakers fans obsession with only blaming the coaching? Tbh its been other problems that brought coaching problems. They were having the same coaching complaints with Vogel.
There's a reason why no good coaches want to come here. You think other coaches are lining up for this job?? If it goes bad. You might as well kill off your coaching career.
The frank Vogel fire was a head scratcher but the problems started the moment when let some of our keys players during the 2020 run go and that killed us then we got Westbrook to try and cover for when AD and Bron got hurt but the fit wasn't good at all. Now we got a decent team that can do more with a better coach but also what can you as a player do if the coach is putting in his guy when he doesn't need to be there. Darvin Hams coaching and rotations got us into this spot and yes the lakers aren't the best team but they are better than you think
@illicitburn9386 Ham apart of the problem too, but the super team ideology cooked the Lakers. If they didn't feel like they needed to get a "third star" and just ran it back they'd be more successful the last couple years. It's a shame honestly we could've gotten some really good basketball
Doesn't matter LeBron James is supposed to be the goat he's supposed to be the one that do it all handle it all That's what all y'all say but when he loses whatever team he's on is everybody else's fault I'm sick of that crap
Coach Ham was not the right selection for that roster and Jeannie & Pelinka needs to be accountable for that. But since since the Westbrook arrival, the perimeter defense and rebounding of the Lakers has been bad. Denver did not play that great offensively, they got a bunch of freebies as 2nd chance points because of a lack of boxing out on defensive rebounds and bad perimeter defense. It did not matter that AD, D-Lo and Lebron scoring 30-40-50 pts, Denver was able to match it every game...Keep having a blind eye to Lebron bad habits on defense for years, as if it's not affecting his teammates. Truth be told also, AD is no longer a MVP type of player and so is Lebron who will be 40...their prime moment was in the bubble and since them, the current teams at the top are either young or starting their prime... IT'S OVER and it's ok!
its pretty damning tho when AD says stuff against the coaching... and when there are clips of Bron and Reaves straight up leaving the huddle when Ham wants to spew his bs... and when reports say guys like rui, max christie and hayes feel like they dont get the same lee way to make mistakes as prince and cam. Do you see how these things are adding up...? And this doesnt even adress the terrible coaching decisions themselves (lineups, not using timeouts and challenges, not making adjustments, obsession with 3 guard lineups with rui/bron at the 5, etc)
So watching those plays hams fault? Man I've watched the lakers players just do dumb shit. I've watched then just suck, I've watched them just quit on plays. Ad complains about not knowing what to do but then playing soft as hell and not actually playing defense when it matters. Complaining his shoulder hurt. LeBron crying after every non call and jumping up and down like a baby. Dlo and Reaves having up and down nights all season. Rui was killing them last year this year he looks like dog shit. Just be honest the lakers despite coaching would still be trash. Half the season dlo don't know if he getting traded or not. LeBron only chasing stats and a chance to play with his kid. LeBron can't be coached because he won't allow anyone to tell him what to do he has to be coach. What do you expect from a team like that? Darvin ain't the only issue the whole team is trash. Just admit yiu need a rebuild lol.
I just find it interesting that laker fans believe they know how to beat the Nuggets. My lord, send in your resume quick! There are plenty of teams who can use your “genius”. 😂
I think when he mentioned not being able to play some players due to injury, he was actually referring to Cam Reddish. He probably wanted to put him back in as a starter. 💀
Let’s admit it the Cavs has a coaching problem while Lakers have an everything problem, it doesn’t need to be a point and blame situation, it’s entirely the whole team as a Lakers fan I am tired of pointing blame at coaching and a certain player who we know performs badly in the playoffs. I have been watching a handful of Cavs game and it’s a coaching problem, there were times when Niang got minutes over Marcus Morris and other good solid defenders, Niang can’t guard at all, he’s a walking cone.
They don’t just have Lebron lmao. They have AD, DLo, Reaves, Hachimura (they all average 15-23 points a game btw) Lebron haters need to realize we don’t expect bron to play like he’s 25
One of the key things you pointed out is that Lebron is regressing, albeit slowly. Do you think, with adding another star level talent that LEBRON himself can acknowledge that he shouldn't carry the team as much? Because this wasnt the situation in Miami or CLE when fellow stars like Bosh and Love had to diminish their roles. Do you think Lebron could willingly do that the way they did? I don't, and I don't think it will be any easier for a new coach to walk in and gain respect from Lebron if he didnt have anything to do with their hire.
It's not necessarily that they need a star talent. They just need consistency. D-lo was supposed to be the 3rd scorer. Your 3rd scorer cannot be that inconsistent. It's just a matter of getting consistent nights from roleplayers
What are you even talking about? People swear lebron has this huge ego because of the narratives that came out when he was in Miami, Lebron is not taking as many shots as before, he is always trying to get his teammates involved, and he has no problem with other guys taking the shot as long as it is a good shot. Remember when he gave the ball back to Dlo? What do u think that was? Lebron is not MJ, he can stay in the NBA even while scoring 15 pts, but then he will have 15 assists too.
I’ve been a Lebron fan for as long as I can remember. I’m 30, so I’ve pretty much watched his entire career. This series proved to me that I was in denial about where he was as an athlete. He had great spurts. He had moments where he showed that he’s an amazing top-tier player, but on defense, it was really, really evident that he declined which is fair, he’s 39. I think a lot of us were in denial because of how much we love LeBron, but this series really prove to me that his age is showing and the Lakers need to figure out a way to keep him, but also help with his deficiencies.
@@M.L.official lmao learn to have some reading comprehension and realize I was talking about one of the RU-vidrs he used in the intro before you start yapping and think you’re top shit 💀
0:38 The most FRUSTRATING THING about this sequence, is we can visibly see Prince telling Rui to go cut Murray off, because he knows the play just like we all do. And Rui halfheartedly doesn't even commit to doing it. Rui was the most frustrating aspect of the series on both ends. If Rui decides to actually have a hustling bone in him, he goes and meets Murray there and stops the jumper or at least puts further pressure so Murray has to force up a tougher shot or pass. But he didn't want to commit, despite Prince yelling at him to go cut Murray off and even PUSHING him in that direction, and Rui refuses to even give effort, and Murray gets an easy shot. Rui frustrated me the most this series, especially after he played so well last season in the Playoffs, this year he just fell off on both ends, but most importantly he fell off in terms of any of the effort he showed in the regular season.
@@TonyC.-kq9fhhe only fits teams with good defense, he’s a horrible offensive coach. Granted the Suns are a very flawed team but I remember in LA a lot of the time his offense with LA a lot of the time was give Lebron the ball for most of the shot clock and let him shoot or pass to someone else
Its not just bad coaching. Its also bad execution on the players behalf. It the coach puts you in a good postion and you dont follow it out right the coaching is pointless.
Darvin is the worst!!!!Bro game 1 lakers 79 possessions Denver 101 possessions bad habits aka COACHING! and only game 4 that lakers had more possessions….then by a 6-10 possessions in games 2-3-5 that’s why they lost. Also no execution. Ridiculous. Also there’s timeouts where ham DOES NOT DRAW UP PLAYS… no joke he writes on the play board “defend wo fouling” or “show your hands” WTF IS THAT? Also did everyone else see Mike Malone on the sideline during live ball plays screaming to his players where to be defensively when to bring help when to cut , Malone literally helping them run plays during the game live ball, Darvin does not do that! He sits with his hands in his pockets doesn’t say shit and calls timeouts usually 6-8 points too late!
Yet another close sweep in the books. This time Denver was more of a gentleman about it. Hope the refs crash out for you guys again next year, they deserve more scrutiny.
Remind you… this is the same coach who had two big bodies on the bench but still used Rui to guard Jokic one on one for TWO STRAIGHT PLAYOFFS … ( 1-13 )
U need prince starting cause of defence. LeBron doesn't play it so need a defender on the wing next to him. Why prince plays over vando Is cause he's a better shooter. Gotta sacrifice something. Cause vando doesn't play offence. That's the thing that makes sense lmao 😂
Damn so you put all the blame on coaching when the lakers led the entire series lakers have no dawgs no killers that’s the players fault firing coach was just saving face like errbody said players needa take accountability so many leds blown that’s not on coach bro
Shoutout no accountability I’ve never seen players at the top of the get bailed out by coaches or players that make less 😂 gets the credit like superstars but take accountability like role players. I thought laker nation was better than that
So I guess leave KCP open at the 3 point line? Rui didn't come to help, because of that. Hell, if Rui goes to help on Murray, KCP could set a screen for MPJ to run open. I get that coaching from Ham has been lackluster, but that shot happened because every Nugget on the floor was a threat. LBJ couldn't help because of the Gordon lob threat. AD was dragged farther away, because Jokic is also clutch from the mid-range. Prince can't leave MPJ for any reason ever. KCP is the weakest link, offensively, but could set a screen for MPJ after Rui abandons him or make an open 3. Literally nothing but poison to choose from in that possession.
but that shot was only a possibility because Darvin Ham is horrible at making adjustments. Lakers lost like every 2nd half in that series. If Darvin Ham is a better coach then the Lakers can continue to solidify the leads they built in every 1st half of the series, rather than having every game come down to the wire.
@@yepperzify So Ham has to tell LBJ, of all people, not to freelance and freeze AD out of the offense every 4th quarter? He's going to help AD and LBJ box out better? He's going to keep them from bricking 9 of their 27 FTAs? They don't have the personnel to double Jokic and Murray, and also defend MPJ. It is what it is.
@@blackmanwithcomputer as a coach Darvin Ham is responsible for the offensive sets. Every play the Lakers make isn't LeBron or D Lo's fault. If you are a head coach you should be dictating what you want your players to do in every time out/quarter end. So if AD isn't getting the shots that he should be in all of the 2nd halfs, then that does fall on the coach.
I mean Dham rotations have been cheeks for 2 years, but lakers fans had to the same issue with Vogel and his lack of offensive creativity. Like Who are the lakers going to bring in Budenholzer? Nurse? Terry stotts? Chris Quinn?JJ Redick? 😂 I want to hear some solutions plzz
The leagues not helping LeBron no more....no more calls,no more mid season roster changes 😢😢 no more PR pushes from sport media .. no more making sure u get to the finals every year for TV RATINGS and ADD REVENUE no more having your WAY 😢😢😢..NO MORE BIG THREE no more rings... at least it seem that way...oooh don't you just miss the heat days 😂😂😂I hope he gets to play with his son or go against him like he said if there's no more rings coming at least let him play with his son he's given alot To the league ...well I should say the business of baseball and we'll he was good for business For most part I USED TO WATCH GAMES BUT -NO MORE DEFENSE -TICKY TAC FOULS - THE FLOPPING -REFS WITH SOMETIMES CALLING TECHS FOR NO REASON EVEN FANS ON BOTH TEAMS WOULD AGREE TO THIS I THINK. -THREES AND LAY UPS MENTALITY it's just not the same anymore But change can be good if it's in the right direction though. Hopefully the league figures It out because the no defense, it's killing me When will this era be over? Bring back the 2000s, please. I think most fans miss it.
its frustrating to see how badly ham has coached this team just for fans like myself to get shit because “jUsT aDmIt yOur TeaM SuCks” or “always the blame game” when a lot of the blame should go to our front office’s and our coaches for 1. starting players that had no right to be there. 2. firing our CHAMPIONSHIP WINNING HC just to bring in a ROOKIE COACH while we have a team with LEBRON FUCKING JAMES ON IT. and 3. incompetent signings and trades
Thank you so much will on PTi in tears for darvin ham how we wronged him it wasnt hams fault he's a nice guy!!! IGNORING HE CANT CALL TIME OUTS, CANT CHALLENGE, AND CANT MAKE COMPITENT LINEUPS
LeBron is also a major problem but y'all ignore the constant pouting blaming and 4 on 5's cause he sits at the other end of the court crying. Paying 50 mil to a guy who don't play defense 😂
Is it a Laker's or Lebron's fan delusion thinking that he will "reinvent" himself and will be ok playing second or even third fiddle? The same guy that cries at his team mates for mistakes he's made himself? Seriously?!? And you talk about accountability! DON'T! When the "leader" of your team is never held accountable for anything! Was it Ham that bricked a game winning three? Was it Ham being outrebounded TWICE in a couple of minute under his own board? Shall I remind you last year's game 4 and the closing two laker possessions of another "great 40-point performance"? How about your best two players laughing on the bench with no real interest in a game their team mates are being slaughtered? Is that leadership or it is bad only when D'Lo or any other laker is doing it? Do you remember the two games Lebron went for the same crappy head down and hope for a whistle move that ended up in Reddish shooting one brick and one game winner in two consecutive games? The "goat" said he always makes the right plays and that just showed his trust in his team mates! Was he lying not wanting Reddish or could it be Reddish was playing because Lebron wanted it? I don't know, but neither do you! So good luck! You have Ham fired, let's see how your team is going to do with the new one! Keep Lebron and do the math how many of the players will have to be traded away just to get one pretty solid player to help Lebron win another title just because he is still chasing that ghost of chicago! But please, sign petitions to the lakers organization to let Lebron choose the coach and the superstars he wants! Will never be more happy than if that comes to fruition!
I want Mike Dantoni, Ty Lue, Mark Jackson hell Dwayne Casey is sitting in the front office in Detroit as we speak. All these guys that know X’s and O’s. Dantoni would cook the best offense the lakers will ever see especially with this starting 5. We have to find identity one end of the court. AD and Vando terrorized the league all post all star break last year. Ham went away from that in favor of TP.
The Lakers need to trade everyone over the age of 25 and actually build and nature talents instead of looking for quick fixes and big names. They could have drafted Fox over Ball and they could have kept B.I instead of trading him away for who can't lead a team. The Lakers need to take notes from the Thunder, Celtics, and Nuggets.
I felt like AR should’ve came off the bench to lead the 2nd unit. He’d still get starter minutes and closing minutes but he’s not as useful as a spot up shooter he needs to get down hit and in rhythm same as Dlo. Max Christe could’ve had a ceiling of prime Danny Green or even KCP or Caruso which fits what LeBron and AD thrive with but Hamilton benched him in favor of Reddish and Gabe who wasn’t even better than Dennis was for us and Max is the best athlete off the bench besides Hayes.
@@TigerHoods23 He was congratulating his new coach of course he has to show support after the decision was made he’s the team leader. There’s no way yall are this dense in real life I pray you’re doing this for internet likes
You can't put 100% of the blame on ham its the players, too. smh LeBron talked about players on his team coming out of a time out and not remembering where they should be on the court and some just don't understand the play that was drew up for them to excute.
Well atleast they got to cry and hug and pop champagne for the inseason tournament 😂😂😂i like he dont call out lebron an AD playing 0 defense(LeBron is a old man so fair enough)
Who he supposed to start then ? What’s the lineup ? Every player he put out there y’all complain. DLO complain Reaves complain Prince complain Wood complain Hayes not playable. Vando injured. WTF he s supposed to do.
@@superiorvibes4639 Rui was not the same as last year bro he was ass this series on offense and defense. Only 3 players were consistent LeBron AD and Reaves.
