Luckily I never made it that far into their re-education program... At one point, I took a graduate level class which basically consisted of reading Ezekiel in Hebrew and "analyzing" (I'm using that word very lightly here) its contents. Even that class was nothing but a front for feminist theory. As soon as I realized this, I decided to keep my insights to myself while taking note of the insane level of subversion and indoctrination at work.

It is difficult enough to find those taking an unbiased approach to honest exploration and pursuit of truth - without reliance upon any establishment institution that is unashamedly promoting its own propaganda. Wasted money, time and attention. Guaranteed to get people lost, if they aren’t already confused upon arrival. The pioneer’s path is often solitary, rough traveling and hones survival skills. The trails less traveled are not for the faint of heart. Fellow travelers tend to be rare and highly valued.

Would love to hear your ideas on the book if you read it. I had a wonderful evening this last monday. I was invited by a group of Evangelical Baptists to come talk about symbolism. I found everyone very receptive and excited by the possibility of seeing the Bible and the structures therein as a lens rather than seeing it as a document to analyze with the tools of science and history.

I'm almost done with the book and love it!! I think it would be hard to analyze the Bible with our current tools because of the vast implications of symbolism. It is more real (if you believe in God and/or use Jordan's definition of truth) than corporeal reality, but it humifies the relational, or spiritual, layer at the same time. Its like quantum mechanics vs chemistry but in the opposite direction. This is a very well constructed thought. I copied and pasted it, which I have never done for a youtube comment, so thank you for sharing. I have been looking for a good book or resource for coming to terms with the historical authenticity of the bodily resurrection of Christ - do you know of any? Maybe it sounds strange, but I sometimes feel like the historicity of Jesus almost undermines the significance of the story/idea. I can agree to it in the same way I agree to the truth of Noah and of Adam and Eve, but when I ask myself, "Do I think though that Jesus actually came back to life?" I find that I don't. I'm not sure if that's really a problem for me, in the same way that not believing that Adam and Eve were real isn't a problem. Anyway, no worries if you don't have any recommendations, you just seemed to be well-read on the subject.

@@BooBarr, the symbolism of the Bible does not mean the persons or events did not happen. The symbol and its meaning come from actually persons and events. Jesus died and came back to life. The Bible's narrative is how we make sense or spot the meaning of what Christ as a living breathing symbol is.

Something I forgot to mention in this talk, and that I regret not mentioning, is that my standard of interpretation is traditional commentary, either early Christian or Jewish. I used a mathematical mindset in the sense that I tried to use the very cosmological categories presented in the creation narrative as "axioms" (so to speak) to interpret the rest of the Bible. In doing so, my interpretations matched ancient Biblical interpretations (especially from Jewish sources) which to me was confirmation that my insights were valid.

Thank you. I look forward to your book. To me mathematics provides a certain purity, a certain clarity, to even the figurative aspects of the world. I used to look down on the subjective and the figurative, but now I believe our pre-science ancestors where just as "scientific" with the limited tools they had. You and your brother have taught me that.
