It is true the Irish are first over here with substance abuse problems, although a very proud race. Are we turning our behaviors into a joke and making a laugh out of things from fear. Whether the Irish have the highest rate of cocaine use in the EU. or not we all know cocaine can be a deathly drug too. They need to advertise more treatment programs for cocaine users and in depth acknowledgement that it is and can be a killer drug. We mustn't allow the Irish use of cocaine to become a world wide joke too. Very serious. A terrible loss of life.
Nearly every 20 - 30 kilometres all around the Irish coast are lighthouses, with living quarters, most became automated in the late 80s early nineties, however if Ireland are serious about securing our coast line, these could easily either manned up by our Army, naval or revenue, providing a network of eyes on our coastline , or we invest in the latest radar technology, long rage video surveillance, or high altitude balloons with these capabilities to pinpointing rogue cargo ships or the fleets of smaller boats operating as courtiers all along our coastline, by utilising the lighthouses would be a deterrent, as a state we are not interested in prevention, we’re only interested in dealing with the consequences or fallout from such trivialities.
Or maybe start jailing the white collar professional criminals i.e bankers, accountants, lawyers, judges, police brass, customs agents on the take etc... do that then watch the drug trade grind to a halt, it's these people that allow and facilitate the movement, sale and supply of drugs not just in Ireland but worldwide, most of the banks in America and Florida in particular are propped up with laundered drug money going back decades
