This is our fourth trip to Vietnam. We have been here 15 months this trip due to covid19 travel restrictions, but that's okay we're retired and Vietnam is our favorite place in the whole world! We're from the United States and not in any hurry to get back to Biden's circus!

Vietnam also has two wheelers in large numbers like India. But in india there are now no such big railway crossings any where in big cities. Everywhere there are under passes or flyover now hence indian railways traffic looks more safer.
Great video! Was that the Reunification Express from/to Hanoi? I thought there was new rolling stock on that train, but it looks much the same as when we traveled on that train a few years ago.
It is dirty in most places. The only clean places are near the political buildings and the newer neighborhoods. Here, the locals clean the streets in from of their homes and shops. They do have women who sweep the business side-streets at night with brooms. There are a few street sweepers, but are only used on the big streets like Don Khoi, Cach Mach Thang, and Ba Thang Hai.
How long are those gates closed before the train gets there? There's a ton of traffic backed up, unless the road so busy that a minute or so in advance can back up that much traffic. And the gates going up before the train clears probably isn't as dangerous as it looks, since anyone paying attention will notice that the train is still there and that they shouldn't try to cross yet
