This movie should be shown to every teenage boy before they graduate high school. This film shows that you should never put a girl on a pedestal, because if you do, you are almost guaranteed to be disappointed.
The reason the ending is so unforgettable is because it’s so much like real life. The scene is perfect. Total silence, their eyes say everything that needs to be said, there’s no big scene or arguing or yelling to be done. She’s just not into you, she never will be and there’s nothing you can do about it, most of us guys have been there at one time or another. Being rejected absolutely, freaking sucks but that’s life.
Whoever created this scene and decided for THIS to be the ending deserves a Nobel Peace Prize. You CANNOT make or force someone to love you or to feel the same way you do it’s a hard reality but it was just portrayed so well here.
the fact that she didn't try to apologize or to say it was a misunderstanding, just stayed there looking at him, as if saying he's just a fool, make this much more heartbreaking.
