With a 351 Cobra Jet Cleveland and a 4-speed, this 1973 Torino Gran Sport is the last true Ford Muscle Car of the original Muscle Car era (1964-1974). This is an all-original example of a rare Torino right down to the extra-option paint. This is one you won't want to miss!

My Dad bought a '71 Gran Torino Sport with a 351 Cleveland new that he used to flat tow his Super Stock Mustang from 1971 to 1973. It was a really nice car, but by '74 it was so rotted out from the Pennsylvania winters it would not pass inspection. So he bought a new F-150 pickup with a 300-6 and three on the tree, then built a car trailer to haul his then new Super Stock car, a '66 Comet with.

I had a 79 step side ford, put 351c 4vheads c6 trans. Painted it jewel green , lime green wheels and hood scoop. Redid interior, Green tweed seat and door panels. 17 speaker jl stero and 12" sub. Need big stero to help hear music over exhaust. Had 3" pipe 40 series Flowmaster that sounded great. Motor was 30 over and a rv cam. 3000 stall converter in c6. Daily driver in pa. For 10 plus years. When I sold it , it needed a refresh. Guy that bought it blew it up and has been leaving it sit . Loved that truck. Like to find another 1 and redo it. Videos are great keep them coming.

In 1983 my best friend got his drivers license and inherited his Moms station wagon. A 1974 Galaxie 500 Country Squire w/a tow package. It was rare in that it had a 352 FE block , 300hp 4V , engine in it. It was ridiculously fun to pile into and raise hell. We mowed lawns for gas money and if we spotted some used tires sitting around a 'clients' house we would try and get them as part of the payment so we could mount them up in 'Auto Tech" class and fry them til they popped. Reagan was President and gas was a buck a gallon. Good times.

My '73 is a Montego GT, 429 with A/C, cruise, power windows, buckets/console. The dogginess of the 429 is easily fixable, so I think I'd rather have the bigger engine, given a choice. But I love this Torino. I have a '72 Gran Sport, also with a 429.

Nice GTS. I had a 76 Ranchero 351m in eighties, very similar body style, think they were was based on the Torino weren't they? Wish I would've kept it. Not a big fan of the m but that could have been fixed. Also had a 66 Galaxie 500 two door hardtop. It had a pooped out 352 in it, so I found a 390 hipo out of a wrecked fairlane gt and put in it. We had a blast with that car! Wish I could find another one.

I purchased a used Mint 73 Torino with the 2-barrel Cleveland in 1982 for $1800. It had 36,000 original miles. Got it from an older guy that bought it new. I was 21 years old. I started working full time and needed something better on gas. I traded it in in near me in 1987 and got $2000 for it and got a 79 Regal with a 301 engine. All black red interior. I kept seeing the Torino at a bar not far from me in the parking lot. I looked at it and it was mine I traded in. I went in the bar and it was the bar owner who bought it. He got it from the dealer I took it to. I asked him how much he paid for it and he said "I got a good deal on it for $6900". I had no idea it was already considered a "Classic Car" !!! I got screwed big time !

The 73 GTS was beautiful but was an oddball cross between the 72 fastback and the more formal 74. While the CJ name was gone, the 351 CJ engine remained unchanged through 74 but was just called 351 4V before taking a hit to the compression. My brother had one in his 74 GTS and to this day he regrets not keeping it.
