Have you experienced the North Sea's ferocity ?🌊 🌊 Known for its tempestuous storms, towering waves, and capricious tides, the North Sea presents a daunting challenge for sailors. The unforgiving weather, combined with congested maritime traffic, concealed shoals, and offshore installations, transforms navigation into a tension-filled ballet. Skippers perpetually confront the risk of collisions and shipwrecks as they contend with nature's might. Within this maritime battleground, true seamanship prowess is showcased, where only the most skilled can safely traverse the turbulent North Sea. The last clip will truly shock you

I was aboard the Queen Mary in 2015, crossing the Northern Atlantic, and it was about 3 am. in the morning, and I was awoken by a storm outside, and I could hear the wind howling through the balcony door that was not shut tightly - so I went to pull it shut, at which stage, it swung open violently, and there it was a raging wave ! Made even more terrifying by the lightning lighting up those swelling, enormous waves that must have been a hundred feet high?! Since my cabin was on deck 11, it had to be that big?? Excluding the Sanfrancisco 89 earthquake: I've never seen the power of nature like that before and / or since?! It was nature's absolute might staring me in the face, as if it was roaring like a n angry beast - for that brief moment, I saw the power of the ocean - as it if was trying to tell me something?? It was showing me the mighty power of the Gia?! Aways respect Mother Nature's wrath?!

As a previous sailor in the U.S. Coast Guard I have been through similar seas up north in the Bearing Sea of Alaska and north in the Arctic Circle between the U.S. and Russia. For those Sailors who have been through 30-40 Feet swells all around the world, my respect to you. You personally know what it feels like to have gone through the hands of Neptune. For those of you who have never been at sea, imagine walking inside a ship on floors and walls as the floor under your feet is nonstop swinging like a parabola 180 degrees back and forth. You can also hear and feel your ship hitting a wall of water that feels more like a concrete wall. Your mind thinks it’s maybe your last breath every 30-60 seconds. You have to reteach yourself how to walk, eat, sleep, go to the bathroom, and of course work. All while trying not to get sick from your stomach and vomit. Your stomach lets you know you are alive. The Human Body was not born to be in such environments. I personally have seen people deteriorate and lose 25-30 lbs in 30 days because they are unable to keep food and fluids down. Those are the medical discharges.

First there now exist better alternatives that will outcompete them very soon maybe this year anyway. All Climate Researcher and Politicians will force you to stop all new search for more. So open your eyes and let your ears listen: Let this be a stupid failure that made us the richest Country of the World. EU is now shifting to Circular Economy, and they reuse and upgrade renewable fossile-free resources is possible to adapt even to their MarketEconomy. When Ursula von der Leyen and her top Politicians invest aprox 20 million € in Norwegian Plasma-technology N2-applied and found a Scottish Manufacturing collaborator Company GEA is now mass producing Equipment which soon will make the Agriculture sector Climate neutral. Hope tomorrow will be a spesial day at Equinors General Assembly that they will be openminded for a long Vacation and hopefully very soon they to could be looking forward to start in new cleaner and better Jobs. This music with its sarcastic sad lyrics are brilliant spot on with so dark voices and drums a music fit for a Funeral. All condolences for those who lost relatives to cancer or had their lives destroyd from our greed. I don't blame any of you or them who died R.I.P., but I cry when Norway has become the European worst of not taking action for Human made Climate Changes and extreme weather caused by Global Warming I feel shame. Like fighting in Wars for the wrong side is still participating and defending commentaries of such an unecessary outdated technology. Contaminating and destroying for all of our common Future. Transport of Containers filled with unessary poisonous goods we don't need ... Global Trade will soon be reduced to a minimum. More local production of and better quality we will create work repairing. There exist much better alternatives today, Soon all trailers, busses and Cruise-ships use LBG which is a direct substitute to your Fossil oil.

@@betsywoolbright8059 if folks have family from Denmark, Sweden , Norway. Some peoples ancestors are Vikings…. Many people share their DNA with the Vikings, and a Viking DNA test can help you understand your specific Scandinavian ancestry traits! These tests look at your DNA and compare it to those of Viking ancestors to see how many common segments you share with them; the more the segments, the closer you are to the Vikings.

The containers, which are most likely fully loaded, are locked together and tied down but in that kind of weather when everything on the boat is being tossed about so violently and winds get well above 70 knots, there has to be a point for safety's sake where the containers break away. If not, when the boat lists hard in a swell, they could roll the whole boat. It only takes once.
@EmilyThomasIrvin

@tracywilliams113
@tracywilliams113 4 месяца назад
@@davesiringo7147Containers are usually insured, so the owner of the contents is partially refunded, I believe. The actual contents are fair game as long as they are claimed in international waters. And although the containers can float for some time, usually most sink before anyone can get to them and claim them. Which is probably best because free floating containers are a navigational danger to other ships.

I think you will probably find that the way theey have little feet on them locks them into the one below - like lego bricks and the makers of them have agreed to make whatever 'brand' they are, to do the same. The gentleman and a very long time friend of mine runs a feed supplies shop and they have huge bolt holes so that when stacked you can just bolt together at all four corners (on land) but have seen them on trains as we drive (not me driving if Im looking so hard) at them two or three high on the train flatbeds or whatever you call them and they look to be bolted and have chains as well. Mind you - Ive also seen them stackd up to three high not tied together on land and a huge wind storm comes through and boom down they topple and you just get outa the way. lol
