His views were not extreme. Murder is extreme.

Pim Fortuyn, one of the very few politicians that had the guts to say what huge part of the population said but weren't allowed to.

Pim was not a racist, he was angered by those who were threatening the Dutch way of tolerance.

yes, lets focus on his views and ignore the crimes and his eventual murder, in fact, lets not even look into the murder

He was ahead of his time. To problem of migration only became worse. Whole parts of Western Europe are becoming islamic. Islam is building a parallel society in Western-Europe and there is nothing that can stop it.

His murderer was let out of jail to in 2014 and is living his life like normal.

Why isn't there more about Pym Fortuyn in the UK and other English speaking countries? I did pay attention to his murder and my feeling at the time was " what the hell have we come to in Europe?"

The assassin only served 12 years in prison by the way.

His death was the ultimate illustration of the truth of his words.

You know what's crazy? People will condemn this guy as an extremist but they have they have sympathy for the native Americans who fought back against mass migration and imposed beliefs. Imagine telling a native American that he is a racist to oppose having their land taken, people killed, their culture and traditions banned to please people they don't even want to be there. Pim Fortuyn wasn't extreme at all, that's how he was portrayed by the other political parties and by the media. I watched a lot of his debates and interviews and he wasn't racist. He didn't want to deport anyone he said multiple times that everyone who lives in the netherlands with a passport is equal. He stood up for muslim women who are oppressed in muslim families (Blijf van mijn lijf houses were full with muslim women, those are houses to protect women from abuse). He wanted the government to give courses for these women to properly learn the language and put an end to womens oppression in muslim families in The Netherlands. He wanted immigrants to integrate into society faster so they could get out of the lower class. He wanted every immigrant to learn dutch so their children don't fall behind. He stood up for every citizen in The Netherlands and he wanted to fix the immigration problem by helping the immigrants. He got a lot of hate because he said the islamic culture is a backward culture. He said this because islamic women are oppressed in islamic countries, some of them can't even decide for themselves who they can marry. And because every islamic country is homophic (Pim was gay himself). This isn't forwards so it's backwards. The media and the other political parties portrayed this as extreme and racist but it isn't at all. The other politicians pretended like he was Haider or Hitler to scare people away from voting for him. In some cases the other politicians even insinuated that he was the next Hitler in a debate. He was demonized by the other political parties and this was the reason why he was killed.

The fact that whatever he was saying was dangerous should reaffirm his conviction to reduce immigration

Pim was 100% correct and this cannot be denied by any thinking person.

They are Dutch citizens, not Dutch and they will never become Dutch. This must be made clear because media and politicians just love to mix the two terms on purpose as if they were the same thing. Dutch people are a unique ethnic group. Ethnicity is inherited, through parents, it cannot be given or gained through some social manipulation.

You have no idea what Pim Fortyn really stood for after watching this video. You see random people telling Fortyn is a racist and you see Fortyn responding: Do your homework and study both sides of the discussion.

Funny how the interviewer is attacking him and questioning about how afraid he is making people of him and his views, then a few days later HE is the one murdered for his views. Also that anyone who holds similar views and is in the public eye must have constant 24/7 security for fear of being murdered. Who are the ones that should be afraid?

Didn't know about this until I read it in "The Strange Death of Europe". It's scary, holy shit. Two days ago an Afghan man killed 3 people here in Sweden in an open street, yet the only shares I see on Instagram are about "structural racism". This happened 19 years ago ... Pim Fortuyn was a hero!

Pim's fault was to do interviews in English. He didn't understand the questions, so the answer couldn't be right. He wanted immigrants to integrate into society, also mix the people geographically (not all immigrants in the same part of the city, but mingle with the Dutch. And also support women's right, specially under Muslim women, He always supported that, like he stated "women's rights always apply before same-sex relationships". He had many points to make the Netherlands a stronger and nicer country by preventing that the Dutch culture, built in many centuries, would be overrun and changed completely in a few decades. Up to this date, there is not enough attention for integration programs and many people that will never get permission to stay, will remain here for years in "shelter". No good to anybody. Pim was completely demonized by the politics and media since he became a real threat. So my advise: Never listing to Pim speaking in English, and no out-of-context clips please ;)

I don't understand why some people treated that man as if he was a criminal. He was a real white nationalist who wanted his country to remain Dutch. I see absolutely nothing wrong with that. If I were a Dutchman and had to deal with what I saw in this video I would be indignant. For a moment there I thought that I was watching the wrong video.
