We persians have a book called "book of kings" it was written over the coarse of a life time by a poet named ferdowsi. It was his attempt to preserve the persian language and culture during various invasions. Entire book is a series of legends all written in poems. This animation is just one of those legends. It's a masterpiece!
I’ve read a lot of stories from Shahname (The book of kings), Ferdowsi is truely a great writer/poet. I was wondering if I should watch this or not, your comment helped a lot for my decision. Thanks 💙
All my life I've been waiting for a proper Shanameh adaptatio. You made my year. Thank you سپاسگزارم استودیو هورخش I wish we'll see more of this kind. 1001 nights is another Persian work of literature that has been neglected so much any foreign writer dares to derange it into their own weak version of oriental fantasies.
Shahnameh is full of great stories and scenarios I'm so glad someone decided to make an animation based on it thank u hope It brings you many successes
This is not a bad attempt for a new non-Western, non-Asian animation studio of this style. I look forward to seeing this. In fact I would like to see more action/drama animations from other countries outside the fore-mentioned.
@@tailsprowerfan2729 There are already lots of persian "animation" not anime cus anime is from Japan, that have flag burning But this is a historical animation and mostly persian movies that are just for the cinema are separated from politics and don't include flag burning and even some of them show love to america
🎬🎥❤️ Sometimes dreams becomes true 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 "The last fiction" has been nominated for Oscar Films. The 120-minute animation is based on the story of 'Zahhak', a tale from an Iranian national epic "The Shahnameh" (Book of Kings) regarded as a literary masterpiece written by the great poet Ferdowsi (940-120 BC). Ferdowsi took the story from an older book called (Xwaday-namag) which survived the moslem invasion. This collection provides fascinating stories which are thousands of years old. „The Story of Zahak„ is one of those ancient stories which is the base of the animation film mentioned above. In few words: It is about a revolution led by a working class underdog agains an evil totalitarian system which is feeded by brains of the youth. The symbolic power is absolutely enormous and probably the oldest ancient version of matrix if you will. The story has been an inspiration since my childhood. Don‘t miss it:
Persian mythology has so much attraction for West, it just needs proper translation, presentation and adoption. They seem to have done a fairly ok job of it. So much potential
I need a release date! and also Hope they do a proper Rostam and Sohrab story as their next project. like do it justice. you can learn a few things about "epic" cinematic and storytelling from none other than BLIZZARD.Ent! (not judging, just advising) And for none Iranian visitors: 'The Book of Kings" is like the millinium counterpart to Tolkin Stories. It's so epic and full of meaning if told properly .the characters are just like superheroes you can turn it into a comic/animation/video game in modern days just so easily! the closest thing I can refer to before watching this, is the Japanese Anime: Arslan Senki. if youre not familiar with the whole Persian/Iranian theme of this Animation
what i learned from working at animations studios is that if you dont have the patience to make a proper frame by frame animation ..dont bother to do it because its going to look awkward, and never use cutout animation in a realistic style.
