I saw your video come up, and thought “uh oh, I just bought a screw-on VND because of the concern about mag filters popping off during run-and-gun shooting”. After watching this, I realized that although it’s really cool, it doesn’t look like it solves that concern. These systems need a clip or something that secures the filter in place more than just the magnets. When I saw how the backing plate clamped on, I was hopeful that there was something similar for the next step, but not so. You might share that feedback because I really like the basic idea. Thanks for the video, and your new studio looks swanky!
I think these are pretty secure. I have bumped off their old model, just by hitting it. This is a bigger system overall. Super versatile, but larger too, which may be a disadvantage for some.
Love the new studio, Mark! The wider corner style table is better compared to the smaller detach one from the old studio, and the angle of the low camera also great. Nice touch with the light on the door behind! This is totally a great upgrade and enhance my experience watching your videos that keeps getting better and better! Super Cool!
Thank you so much. It’s pretty much an empty room at this stage, I put a lot of effort into working out that shot. I’m so glad you appreciated the light from the door too! This comment has made my day. This setup may change, but it took me so much effort to work it out, with what I had to work with, it’s so good to get that feedback.
This looks like screw on filter only? So for my Tamron 15-30 lens or other wide angle lenses, I would still be limited to filter systems for specific lenses? Or is there something I'm not seeing here?
The kit with the snow mist filter would be nice, if your are film maker, or the basic kit. The landscape options is really more for serious landscape photographers.
@@markwiemels Just the product as payment or is that also returned in most scenarios? Guitar youtubers charge like $800 a video based on a product as well as keep the product if under $500 or perhaps just want that in discount if they decide to keep/flip it.
@@idiotburns yes, I get to keep the product. Most companies will pay, if you ask them, but that comes with requirements and restrictions, which I’m not interested in at this stage. If it’s a good product, I talk about, if not I don’t.
