Does anyone else literally cry whenever they think about the lyrics and how it’s all over Like I know that the show is coming out but it’s not the same. It feels colder, less like home, which is how the movies felt.
@thelavenderhatter5924
@thelavenderhatter5924 6 лет назад
waybright_elisabeth _Quinn It would have been cool if the show was about the backstory of the history of Middle Earth. Like the Simarillion, Beren and Luthien, or Children of Hurin. Things that could work and fit with the Peter Jackson films...so it wouldn’t taint the 6 special films..alas, they want it to make it about LOTR, I hope they deliver well.

Lord of the rings and the Hobbit, hit me like no other story. maybe it's because a now deceased family member that introduced me to it, maybe because of how good the films or maybe both. it just feels unreal that it's all over and that there will never be anything like it again.

No he won't. Tolkien family and people have said ''NO'', and that's it. I am glad actually as it is too difficult (and would be boring) to make into a film. USE YOUR IMAGINATION!!! It is too weird/outwordly and wouldn't work as a film.(Well, not for 'normal cinema-goers...) It might become a small screen epic...but I doubt it.I was asked to read it and discuss it in 1978 so I do know what I am talking about.

Not only is this song good for ending The Hobbit, the lyrics apply to real life. It applies to those friends and family that have been with you since the beginning of your hardships. I want this song at my funeral. Because, yes it's sad. But the song also seem somberly happy. It tells people to hold on to the memories and to live their life remembering the journey. That's what I want my family and friends to do. The song is so powerful when you apply it to your actual life. I keep getting a lump in my throat as I think of certain people while listening to this song. It's musically beautiful, but it's just as emotionally beautiful.

Immediately when I heard this song that's how I felt about it too. I want to play it for my husband at his funeral and then I'd like to have it played at mine. I just think it's the perfect way to end your adventure with the people in your life you know you're going on and heading for home. As one who's never looked at this planet as home but as a place to grow and mature to become greater than I was a better being hopefully having gained the knowledge of mortality and how sacred life is. It's not just science. One might be able to answer everything with science but it really doesn't all get answered. Take it from someone who died when she was 23 and I'm not kidding , I really did especially with scary is when you ask the question why didn't you answer me when I banged on the rails for help and the nurses look at you and say there was no brain activity you were a flat line you shouldn't be here you are given a second chance we can show it to you. Your doctor who saved you in the ER thinking it wasn't going to last because you'd had four coronaries and every time he thought he got you stabilized you crashed again wrote off his $33,000 copay because he said you shouldn't be alive. your physician is shocked when you walked out of the hospital 30 days later even though you'd had a stroke and he had severe injuries to your throat,, cognitive skills etcetera but you made it and the injuries weren't as bad as they should have been. Your parents have been told that if you did survive it was just a vegetative state there was no human in there because it was a flat white all the way around the only reason the heart was pumping is there was oxygen getting to it from the ventilator and they thought there must be some electricity coming out of the brain stem but they weren't even getting much of that so when my parents came in and saw me and realized there was no response that I did not respond to any stimuli physical testing nothing and they asked to have the machine turned off they honestly thought it was that last farewell instead the nurse saw something a flutter a movement they still don't know what she did I just saw something and that's when she dropped the rail and started pounding on my chest she just couldn't see a 23 year old woman die because the doctor prescribed the wrong medication. I didn't. In the end somehow I made it but I also found out we don't disappear or become nothing when we die. we go home.

One of the most cherishable memories and experiences I've ever had. Nothing can really compare to it and I hope someday I can share this wonderful world of Middle Earth to my children in the future. The Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit are in my mind the most amazing, beautiful, films I have ever watched in my entire life time. They invited you in giving a warm, cosy, safe feeling from the first scene and left you happy, but also so very sad, aching for loss and feeling like there's an empty space that can't be filled after the final end scene of the last film had finished. The cast, crew, music everything were so professional, they worked so hard to bring something amazing to life , you felt like you were there and part of it and now I'm getting all emotional watching this video.... trying not to cry.....oh here it comes😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I would like to see re-release of all six movies in extended cuts but with one change. With all respect to Ian Holm and his amazing performance as Bilbo I would like to see the scenes with young Bilbo used from Hobbit at the beginning of the Fellowship.

When I came out of the theater after Fellowship of the Ring I was laughing and crying and jumping up and down. I didn't think it would be possible to do Tolkien justice but you DID it! I will always love you, many thanks to one and all!.

it struck my hearth when I realised that the dead dwarf with the book in Moria was Ori and Gandalf did not recognize him :(

Actually in the books he recognised it was Ori's handwriting. He didn't recognize the body though, because the book was just lying around, and not clutched in the hands of the corpse.

@@Mast3rB3ard well he could have from the equiptment Ori wore. But his corpse was most likely looted anyways.

I can see that it was incredibly hard work, but what an honor; to be a principal actor in LOTR and then asked to sing the FINAL song of The Hobbit.

did anyone else think the Misty Mountain song had undertones of Billys song? like if you hum "home is behind, the world ahead" and then hum "Far over the misty mountains cold" its a very similar tune XD

The part that is the most similar to "Home is behind, the *world* ahead" is when the song goes "The pines were roaring *on* the height ". The emphasis on the word world in the first song and on in the second song definitely provide undertones pointing to a similar composition.
