Did anyone else notice when Finn opened one of the drawers on the Millennium Falcon that the old Jedi books from the tree were inside? That is why Yoda lit it up because he knew the books were in a safe place, I'm assuming taken by Rey.

I knew something was up when he had 1. the blue lightsaber 2. Beard was not grey 3. He didn't leave the red footprints in the floor where he walked

I did really like how Luke's parting phrase was "See you around, kid." Not only calls back to Han's style but it also makes it clear that Luke might be dead, but this isn't the last we're gonna be seeing of him.

Snoke couldn't tell if he liked Rey or Kylo more. He was split between them.

Snoke had a huge impact on the movie. He stood up. He connected Rey and Ben He sat down. He bopped Rey on the head with Lukes lightsaber hilt. And uh he... died... yeah. Okay yeah he didn't do much.

I liked the part when Luke milked an alien and chugged down green milk.

Okay let's be honest. I'm going to say what everyone wants to hear. The cheesy outcome we all wanted. Luke should have been the one to save Rey from Kylo and Snoke by taking them both on. That would have been justice for Luke, and justified how much Snoke feared and hated Luke the former f******** Grandmaster of the Jedi Order. Not Kylo killing Snoke with a gimmick. Nonetheless, I liked the final Luke scene. It was badass and elegant. It also demonstrated that the Force is beyond any weapon.

You need to talk about how Snoke kind of just, died. After all the stuff we see him do to Rey, lifting her up, moving her around, and not to mention the swift force lightning to Kylo. And I understand that a lightsaber is a deadly weapon, but really? He doesn't get to show his power in defending himself

I really related to the old and defeated Luke. It reminded me of when I became an adult. I was a such a bright eyed optimist when I graduated high school. By the time I was in my late twenties and my life did NOT go as I envisioned it, I felt conquered, depressed, and well, old. Luke thought for sure everything would be great when he brought back the Jedi order, but things did NOT go as planned.

I spotted an Easter egg while watching The Last Jedi. During that scene when Rey was just following Luke around while he was doing his daily routine, and went in his little hut, I spotted the compass that he took in the BF2 campaign, which was pretty cool.

I love how Kylo said to Rey "Join me let the past die, Snoke, Luke the sith and Jedi. we can rule together" reminds me of Anakin

Wanna know whats kinda fucked up, we saw lightsaber combat with Rey and kylo and the Praetorian guards, but not a single lightsaber clashed in the entire movie what the fuck....

The Last Jedi is a movie with epic moments that also has some of the most frustrating moments as well. That Fin and Rose subplot is cancerous

I feel this film wasted so much potential built up in the last film. Snoke & Luke dead - without either engaged in a real fight, massive waste of suspense. Its like cutting out the yoda/sidious or yoda/duku or windu/sidious showdown. Okay its not all about the fighting but I don't see what remains in the story to interest me 4 the next movie. The remaining bad guys are 17yo emotionally immature brats not evil masterminds. And the remaining good guys lack alot of gravitas also, Rey is the only one I remotely care about. I feel the films just destroyed their own story & killed any characters that could provide real links to the past & future to make an interesting story

You know what you should discuss? All the apparent weird moments of the film and how they relate to things other characters say throughout the franchise. EXAMPLE: everyone seems to be obsessing over Luke appearing as a force vision. HOWEVER. If we look back to Empire, Yoda says to Luke "Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter." He then continues to explain how the force is everywhere. In this scene in episode VIII we get to see a complete Luke. This is the Luke we have been waiting for, yet we did not know it. We assume that a master must be a skilled duelist, an overpowering presence that can bend anything to its will. And Luke was this. Luke says that he was Luke Skywalker Jedi Master. But in order to truly be one with the force, he had to achieve inner balance and transcend matter. Ever wondered why Yoda did not transcend to the force sooner? It was because of his own shame. The shame of his failure to detect Darth Sidious and thus prevent his evil reign. Only when he realizes that the light (Luke) has risen again against the dark (Sidious), that there is hope, that he played his part in the vanquish of evil, can he be truly at peace. Thus, he can rest. This is something worth a video.

I loved the film but I'm still a bit pissed at what they did with Luke, I mean he was the one who pushed Ben Solo to become Kylo Ren and then at the end of the film Luke only makes Kylo's hate stronger by toying with him....

The ending for Luke was significant and epic. He showed his mastery in projecting himself to another part of the Galaxy and finally died sacrificing and fighting for good and that it would prevail in the Universe. Actually, he didn't really die, he took his "ascension" to a higher plane. It was time for him to go as his service to Force was finished on this plane; but you can bet that he will still be around to guide Rey in the future.

Hey I finally saw The Last Jedi and it was sooooooo amazing!!!! And now I can watch your spoiler videos and see the parts that I didn't understand and there are some, like the big twist that was supposed to be bigger than Darth Vader being Luke's father

Luke’s storyline and his ending in TLJ was excellent. And this is coming from a guy who watched the OT back in the early 90s as a kid. I loved Luke’s conflict and dilemma, finally redeeming himself for his faults and mistakes by sacrificing himself in order to save the New Rebellion, becoming a real legend to be told throughout the Galaxy and inspiring hope to rebuild the Rebellion against the First Order. I truly believe this is a much more interesting plot for him rather than getting an Obi-Wan 2.0 kinda character.

I hated the way how Luke died. I didn't like how easy it was to strike down Surpreme Leader Snoke. I liked how Kylo fully turned after killing Snoke. It felt like Snoke's spirit took over him! Because he was fighting along Rey seconds ago.. it was awesome!. I hated and loved it at the same time! :)

In my opinion... star wars should have never continued. The sixth episode ended perfectly.

At the end of the movie Luke proved himself the most powerful greatest Jedi of ALL TIME!! He did the most elaborate Jedi Mind Trick on hundreds of strong minded people at the same time for 10 minutes from the other end of the galaxy! It was such satisfaction to his character’s arc in seeing him as a teenager react in awe to Obiwan’s “These aren’t the droids you’re looking for” line and yet he does THIS when he’s now Obiwan’s age. AWESOME!!! Totally loved it! Also, I think he gave himself up the force at the very end not because he was so tired or any other reason but because he understood he needed to bring balance the force. Snoke was dead. With Luke giving himself up it would leave a perfect balance of Ray and Kylo REN. Made sense to me from Luke’s character’s point of view.

I honestly didn't mind how Luke went out. I feel like if he had stuck around and showed off crazy awesome force powers it would have shifted the focus from the new main characters back to Luke. Luke is not what these new movies are supposed to be about. I did, however, find the whole force projection thing to be a little silly. I think that he should have either been there physically and sacrificed himself in a similar way to Obi Wan from A New Hope; or maybe it could have been revealed that he was actually a force ghost the whole time and that's why Kylo couldn't hit him with his lightsaber. But that's just me.

I was very disappointed in Snook, they built him up to be this big thing then he fell so easily, but i found it ironic that before he was killed he told Kylo to complete his training, and as a sith to become the master you must kill your master, so in a way Kylo did complete his training, and while I loved the movie over all, I left with more questions then I came with. I just wanted to hear all of your thoughts on this.

Am I the only one who thought this movie was atleast 10x better than the force awakens. It took me by surprise and that was a breath of fresh air. I swear if they kept doing the death Vader and emperor thing with Ren and Snoke I’d have been so bored. Luke’s death also made Obi Wans death make sense. I liked the choices of this movie mostly because they took risk. I also tend to hate Star Wars fans because they always look for things to hate. Sure the first three movies were amazing but why does it seem like the people who hate Star Wars the most are Star Wars fans.

Never thought I would say this but I genuinely wish Disney had gone with Lucas’ scripts that he already had planned out and just refined them then got a new director with Lucas onboard as an executive to give opinions on certain things.

They just shat on the build up from force awakens. Snoke just dies, Reys parents are apparently nobodies and Luke was just scared the whole time then poof gone. The movie was visually gorgeous and all but i dont know, it didnt really have that Star Wars feel to it, i had high hopes but sadly im dissapointed

I feel this is a complaint because they didn't follow the legends depiction of Luke. He projected himself across the universe to a point where he was completely tactile to those around him no small task. No other Jedi or Sith master has been even hinted at accomplishing such a momentous feat and he was not taught it by any other master. Kylo-Ren was actually fighting him as if he was there. Kylo and Rey were able to accomplish a similar feat only because they are connected by their destiny in the force and Snokes assistance. I believe they showed how powerful Luke was as he was able even at the point where he chose to join the force he was able to block Kylo from knowing he was passing on but let Leia and Rey know he was going. He has joined the strongest Jedi masters in the way that the Cannon has established is the ultimate joining with the force. Only Obi-Wan, Yoda, and Luke have joined the force Physically and Spiritually of their own will. No other known Entity, Jedi or Sith have accomplished this task. Also I feel you are expressing Luke should not have feelings or feel the weight of his choices. I think it was awesome that not only did he feel the weight of his choices he did the thing that most caring people do and he took responsibility for it and took it a little too far. He realized the mistakes of his past and even his old master had to remind him that it is not the past or the future he should worry about but the the here and now. It was when he resolved to do that he truly reached his potential. You seem to forget through the entire series Luke did struggle with his simply "being there" was causing problems. He was not always full of confidence but often struggled with what he should do. When they were approaching Endor he was saying he was endangering the mission by coming, though his presence was probably the biggest factor that allowed them to land on the moon as Vader was so determined to capture him and turn him to the darkside then overthrow Emperor Palpatine as is the way of the Sith. As the old cast is not going to be around forever I think they are doing an awesome job of passing the torch to the new cast and paying homage to the original trilogy. If you are expecting the same thing over and over again then I feel you are missing the point of the series. It is cyclical things happen the old passes on to make way for the new which is what George Lucas stated about the making of Star Wars. I understand this is your opinion and how you felt. I do enjoy your Star Wars videos and like watching them. I would like to see someone focus on what is good and different about the new trilogy rather than saying it "didn't meet my expectations" or it is "too different" or "too similar". The artists involved writers, actors, crew all work extremely hard to give us this story in the way that makes sense and fits in with the universe as it has been established in cannon. The expanded universe is for Fan interpretations I enjoy both and hearing what others like to say. There is no end to the negative stuff that hurts the love of the craft. I live with an artist and I see how all this negativity causes her to struggle to want to share her art with the world. George Lucas said he didn't want to produce any more movies because o the back lash of the original trilogies. He even was planning it seems like that he was going to make Jar-Jar an evil mastermind the Sith version of Yoda, however, the negativity of the fans destroyed that idea. I think it would have been awesome. It is through our negativity we are making artist like George Lucas who started a cultural phenomenon. We are destroying their creativity and our own. Star Wars has inspired many generations I feel we should not be trying to take it away from them by tearing it down. If anything Star Wars has taught me is focusing on the negative it what leads to the darkside. Vader focused on his lack of power to save the ones that he loved rather than rejoicing in the fact they would rejoin with the force. Palpatine was focused on his lust for power and that only he could bring justice true justice to the galaxy through force always afraid of the day when he would lose his power. Not understanding there is no power there is only the force. Many of us who were inspired by Star Wars were inspired for different reasons. You have a great gift of the inspiration you received. I learned a level of balance, I have an my wife has learned personal strength. We should be respecting each of the lessons that Star Wars teaches it is truly a modern mythology. Star Wars is not intended to have us escape life, but teaches us how to survive life though epic modern mythology.

I really wanted to see Luke fish out his old T-65 X-Wing and fly to Crait and use his old fighter to help the Rebellion, and finally confront Kylo Ren for one last battle. I feel Luke’s potential was wasted near the end.

It wasn't a projection! it was "god mode". He is in two places at once, and he can touch you (he kisses Leia) and you can't touch him (unless he wants to). That's why he is so exhausted afterwards.

The biggest dissapointment of the last jedi was snoke and luke skywalkers death. I believe snoke had the potential of reaching the same status or reputation as darth vader and palpatine, but he was killed of. I feel like luke is a coward after watching this movie. Luke sparks kylos turn to the dark side yet he doesnt do anything to try turn him back to the light or stop him instead he goes into hiding. This goes against everything we have learnt about luke skywalker. There was too much comedy in this movie.

SPOILERS AHEAD, of course. For me, what Luke did is really powerful. We've never seen someone do something like this in the entire Star Wars saga. He projected himself across the galaxy, not only viewing everything that's happening that far, but interacting with it. He is seen and heard by people and droids alike. He even physically interacts with Leia, giving her Han's Dice, which later are grabbed by Kylo too. Because of the great effort needed to maintain this, he actually gives every ounce of energy he had, ultimately giving his life. He made a sacrifice to let the spark of the Rebellion to live, to rise again and challenge his now truly fallen nephew and the first order. He accepts again his purpose, his legend, and inspires them. Because of him, as he said to Kylo, the Rebellion will grow again, the war is just beginning and a new jedi rises. By Rey own words "she only felt peace and purpose", thus showing the completion of his arc. Now his master journey is complete, he understands that his and the jedi failures should be used to teach and grow the future Jedi, rather than ending it. He grows from a broken hermit in total disbelief, transcends and becomes a true master. Them we see his final moments. This scene is a return to how we first met him back in 1977. It's the end of the cycle, the beginning and end of his journey. It all started as a young farmer in Tatooine dreaming of adventure and ended as a true master becoming one with the force in Ahch-to doing the same thing, gazing the twin suns with John Williams score "Binary sunset". Later we have the boy, a children of the force, gazing the horizon and stars and dreaming, as Luke once did. Man, it gave me goosebumps. For me, it all culminated in a really powerful end to the character. Never dreamed for something better than this.

The boy at the end will be totally ignored in Rise of Skywalker or what?

As soon as he appeared in the base, I thought he might be a force apparition like how Rey and Ren could see eachother on that island.
