Ako I still chose ships kasi enthusiast ako ng mga barko.
I will really miss this ship. I always reminiscence some good old memories, she was the fastes Cebu to Cagayan de Oro route on her time as Cebu Ferries, she eventually match up and race or even overtake Trans Asia Ship that will depart ahead of her. Thank You PSSS you made my day and surely I will miss this ship. 💔😭
I was one of the Engineer of that vessel in Gothong Southern ,it was indeed a well loved vessel. Thanks for the memories and for the lessons learned that enhance my skills 🙂🎉
During my elementary days everytime we had our vacation in Bohol. Our Lady of Good Voyage vessel was our option. The vessel was clean, they had an accommodating staff, the food was great and the vessel was faster than the other passenger vessels. It's so nice to reminisce the past about the experiences of this vessel.
In October 1997 i went on board as an 8 year old boy from Cagayan de Oro to Jagna. At the time she was the biggest and decent ship that service this route. I remember we were in the economy section at the aft section of the ship and because it was October, a holy rosary was recited while sailing. Good old days!
Great video. I sailed on a roundtrip "cruise" to Cagayan de Oro on this ship when she was O.L.O Good Voyage back in 2000. A sweet little ship with a friendly crew. Sad to see the end has finally come for her, but she did well, lasting for 40 years.
I started my seafaring career as a deck cadet of this vessel MV Our Lady of Good Voyage for a year plying Cebu-Cagayan De Oro with weekend side trip at Jagna Bohol way back in 1997-1998 and I can still remember how good this flagship vessel of Cebu Ferries Corp. An envy to other cadets of the fleet coz of her nice crew accommodation below car deck and at that time she was newly refurbished as OLO Good Voyage.
I was aboard in this ship, when I was 10 years old way back 2006, the then M/V Our Lady of Good Voyage (Cebu Ferries Corp.) going home from Cebu to Ormoc, I remember we left for Ormoc 8:00 am, we arrived safely in Ormoc in the afternoon. Maganda ang barko. One of the best experience.
This ship Our Lady of Good Voyage is memorable to me back in the 90”s bound for Cagayan and got a lot of memories , wonderful memories Ii should say, thanks for the post, hope you could track M/V Iligan City, Our Lady of Medjogorie and M/V Dona Cristina, I would really appreciate it thank you sir for post again
Glad you enjoyed it! We have a video of Our Lady of Medjugorje and M/V Our Lady of Sacred Heart in our Channel. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zLBaMsK6lEo.html
I was able to ride this ship last 2006 from Puerto Princesa going back to Manila. She was still with Cebu Ferries at that time. She was clean and fast. The food is also delicious.
Subrang tanda na din neto, I was App/Engr. way back 2014 on MV Trans Asia 2, We were the reliever on her route if she's in trouble, under maintenance.
Oo bro..mv trans asia 9..nag disembark ako..
"Our lady of good voyage" pa pangalan niya ng makasakay ako niyan Iligan to manila wayback May 2008. Good old days.
My father was a former Master of this ship (Capt Christopher A. Lajot) during her time as Our Lady of Good Voyage. Every time sasama kami pa puntang CDO. I used to roam around the ship from the bridge to passenger accommodation. sad to see shes being scrapped now 😢. Hope you also feature her sister ships Our lady of Rule, Fatima, Guadalupe, Mt Carmel which my father also commanded them.
It was May 1999, nka sakay ako sa kanya. Cdo-jagna route.. bagong tuli pa ako nun.. hahahaha cebu ferries our lady of good voyage pa sya nun... Wala tlga forever.
twice ko nakasakay sa Our Lady of Good Voyage Cebu to Cagayan kadtong under na siya sa Cebu Ferries❤❤❤ asa na kaha to ang Our Lady Of Rule sa Cebu Ferries??? kay siya to ni puli byahe Cebu to CDO vice versa.
She has a direct drive? Weird to have a direct drive on a ferry. Those types of engines are found on most long voyage ships where any type of transmission is expensive.
The biggest ship I've been to was mv sweet hope Ng sweet lines. At that time when go thong sulpicio nn companies maritima and William lines were the ships of the day.b
I fear sea travel but still I prefer to travel by sea. I cannot be easily cowed into riding an airplane the reason that with my age I have not rode an airplane.
I had experience our lady of good voysge to Cagayan De Oro, that our room mate in tourist accommodation had been victimize by a budol budol gang. I think the suspect claim to be a passenger. She lost all of her jewelry and money which she can't remember what went happen. Then the lost bag then later found in a comfort room.
Of the Ocean package deal sa P. O Earth medyo ok pa yun at yung P. O South.
