Batman and Robin is the worst Batman movie ever made, but since it was made to sell toys, those interpretation of the carachters translates really well into action figure. McFarlene did a fine job with this wave.
I think this is what McFarlane's DC license should be- movie replicas. These actually work, and I am grateful for the head articulation he gives Batmen. Almost Neca quality in sculpts, and perfectly fits the scale set by them for my movie figures. Sorry Mafex. I am actually looking forward to a Batman Returns and Forever wave. I will be all over that.
Loved your intro. Omg! Your Arnold voice haha 😛 Loved the movie when I was younger. I remember playing with the Kenner figures. Love Poison Ivy. Happy New Year 🎆🎊🎈 David.
The reason Mr. Freeze looks so toyish is because they used injection silver for him. Anytime I get a model kit that uses the same process it always looks less than premium. Most builders end up painting those parts. Edit: I remembered something when watching you go about the articulation. Be careful playing around with him. Metallic injection actually makes the plastic more fragile. Especially if they used it on the joints.
I debated throughout the last couple of months whether or not to pre-order the wave. I decided to pull the trigger because: a) these figures look amazing, b) Todd is giving us movie figures that we’ve wanted for years and Mattel failed to get going c) Todd is also improving his figures with articulation being the biggest example I can come up with; from that horrible ball joint at the ankle to a sturdier hinge. d) I’m nostalgic for Lego Batman: the video game so I feel these figures plus what’s to come will make up a neat Batman collection which I don’t want to miss out on.
I think the hair they gave rogue is closer to the 97 show and the other hair would be closer to the original. Given it should have the curls either way I won’t be mad with this hair. Maybe they can give her different hair in the other set
My Robin it pretty good on the face paint. The red is about the same on mine as yours. However there are really dark read spots on min in the shoulder areas not sure what from.
tell the truth i liked the cape in this one. The soft plastic felt very nice to me, for example marvel legends uses a very strong plastic for capes that limits very much the figures. Atleast here with the limited already articulation of Mcfarlane figures (that i don't really mind) the cape softness is a nice thing.
