Kermit how big/skinny you are actually has almost no effect on strength. Strength and body mass workouts are usually chosen one or the other, and in some martial arts getting ripped is actually discouraged cause once you reach a certain size the mass starts to limit mobility and impact stamina, especially around the shoulders and legs. Plenty of marines and cage fighters are skinny or chubby but would drop the average person no sweat

Well if it wasn’t for Lev and Yara, Abby would’ve been killed by Tommy. Even here if Lev wasn’t there or outside of the theater, Abby, as strong and skilled as she is, wouldn’t have been able to survive that kind of fight. She can’t take on Ellie and Tommy BOTH at the same time. Clearly as you see Tommy trying to grab the gun from her after stopping her from shooting Ellie, just as those two are struggling over the gun, Ellie could’ve ran and picked up Jesse’s gun and shoot Abby in the back of her head or in her back to wound her, thus give Tommy the edge to finish her off. But plot armor took course and had Lev come to the rescue. Abby has more plot armor than any other fictional character, including Kratos and Goku like wtf. Oh well, damage is already done.

Not gonna lie, during the third phase, I personally enjoyed throwing bottles and bricks at her trap mines for a few hours while I hide from a distance. Because Ellie will keep coming back to the mines but realized I was gone, she would curse out. I do that many times until Ellie said, *"YOU THINK I'M STUPID?"* 😆😆😆 I guess I'm the only one that does this. Her dialogue is really adorable in this one. The tiny details they put in this game is something to appreciate Of course I didnt like hurting Ellie. It was the worst part about this fight😐

The reason we love Eli is because we get to grow up with her along with Joel we see what they fight for we see their goals we see what they long for. But with Abby throws a different twist on the game. What we fail to realize is everyone that Joel and Ellie killed most likely had a family they had someone they are connected to they had someone that they cared about and it isn’t dumb to say that some of them want revenge against what Joel and Ellie did to them. Yes some of the villains were clear cut like the thieves inside of the city where do you meet the two black dude. But some were more up in the air and it was up to you when it comes to Abby she is a villain yes but that’s only because she killed someone we care about. Had Abby killed anyone else besides Joel Eli, and barely Tommy we wouldn’t have really cared. Especially since Abby had a pretty good reason for doing it. Think about this if Joel would’ve killed someone close to Abby and Abby went after Joe for it would you not sympathize with her. And if the answer is yes well guess what that’s exactly what happened. There's a moment from this part that always gets to me, which is when Ellie is laying on the ground coughing up blood, and she has this really sad look in her eyes where she realizes her worst enemy has once again won, and she's gotten several more people killed for her revenge fantasies. It really does hit hard how hopeless she is in that moment, and Abby rubbing it in like that just makes the whole scene a lot more brutal.

That's the whole point though. Up until Abby resolved to get revenge, again, for Owen and Mel, she was back on the straight and narrow. Then when she discovers the map she's at a crossroads again. She can evacuate Lev, and not go after Tommy and Ellie, or she could fail the test and seek vengeance. Mind you she just survived saving Lev and escaping the fiercest conventional battle on the West Coast, and she willfully puts that victory at risk. Abby at the outset of the fight not acknowledging her part in the events demonstrates she still doesn't comprehend the full ramifications of what she did. It's not until she decides to spare Dina that you can see the realization on her face. Lev reminds her the good she achieved by seeing a better path, and she leaves Ellie there without Owen having to guide her this time.

No one ever said the gameplay was bad. The AI was nice, good mechanics, great environment and acting. Issue was with the story. It still is. Joel shouldn't have died, there was still much for him to explore, he deserved an arc where he and ellie finally came through, and ellie understood why joel did what he did. I know the ending supposedly did that, but we as the players didn't really experience it. It was like a statement, not an actual experience. Regardless, issue was simply with the story. I just didn't like the entire story, and I wish they had explored something else. I think they could have done better. They should have done better given they had so many years to figure out the general story. It feels like studio suddenly pushed them to give out a game, and they picked the first thing that came to mind. A revenge story. They could have done much better. Look at God Of War 4. They both basically had the same time, but look what they made, the story, the arcs, and then look at TLOU.

I liked it, too! Ellie is so cute making her little traps to blow me to bits, throwing mollys at me to burn me alive, piercing me with her machete, or just putting a bullet right between my eyes. They just grow up so fast. I am a very proud dad 😢

Tao Leo yeah for sure. So I guess a way to look at is that context and intent are quite important here. The 1st time Abby spared Ellie was because she was meaningless to Abby, just somebody who happened to turn up. Abby didn’t want to be Joel so she spared her but in no way did she actually care one way or the other. Owen mentions something like this when we revisit the mansion scene... “How are we any better?” The 2nd time was because she had grown and understood that no good would come of it, not because someone would come after her but because she knew the person she wanted to become needs to let go of the hate and move forward into the light. She was done with fighting and wanted to find meaning in life with a positive outlet. That outlet was Lev who brought her down to Earth the moment he said her name. Fuck man. There is so much to unpack in this game. I completed 2 months ago and I’m still in awe with the emotional content!

And what you just mentioned it's why i think Abby is such a GREAT game chracter, the game really put you into Ellie's shoes and we felt what she felt after Joel's death, then after kill all Abby's friends including a pregnant lady Mel we started to question ourselves. Then in the second part we see Abby's redemption story and started to feel sympathy for Abby, we learned she's not only physically strong but also mentally strong, especially from the part of the skycraper and the part she was protecting Lev from Issac. Damn i just love them both and i feel bad everytime people are so ignorant and will listen to all the negative comments online instead really play the game themselves, i was lucky to avoid all spoliers and yeah i hated the game after Joel's death but after i played as Abby and watch the ending, mannnn, what a emotional roller coaster. I'm really eager to know what gonna happen to Abby and Ellie in the 3rd game, i believe they'll have some kind of reunion. I just wish they both lives they both lost too much.

The idea is that Abby only killed Joel and left Ellie and Tommy alive. Ellie however kills all of Abby's friends and practically massacres big portions of the WLF. It is very clear the game is 'trying' to show us that Abby is the better person.

Redwish Z the game is showing you that Abby isn’t a bad person. Abby was pretty evil but that’s because she lost her father. Abby truly cares about lev. A person who is evil wouldn’t Alvarez about him. But I would still 100% pick Ellie but I don’t have hate on Abby. I just wish she didn’t kill Joel an Jesse.

What it did do was put everything into perspective by letting you play as Abby, however, and you’re right; it wouldn’t make sense to sit on your ass after somebody killed your father. And that’s exactly why Abby went after Joel.

Its not becuase of his death its becuase of how he died it was rushed and very quick i would of been okay with it at the middle or end of the game

@@lishishur293 For me, it's not that I can't get over Joel's death. Joel hurt many people and it's logical that someone would seek to hurt him. No problem with killing him off early. My problem is that the situations surrounding his death are mind-numbingly dumb, to the point of being unbelievable: 1. Joel acts very out of character. Normally he's very cautious, very mindful and sceptical of strangers, to the point of almost being xenophobic. Recall how he ran over a man pretending to beg for help in the first game, or how he beat up Henry for no reason. Here, Joel acts naive, which is the opposite of what he's supposed to be. He reveals his name and lets his guard down around a group of shady strangers. Even if he softened up while living in Jackson, this makes no sense. It's not the Joel we know. It's weird that Joel even rushes to save Abby from the infected. In TLOU1 Joel is definitely not altruistic. In fact, he would most likely be cautious in case Abby was bitten by the infected. TLDR: Joel used to be morally grey and extremely cautious, almost to the point of being too cautious and assuming the worst of everyone. Now he's just an old altruistic and naive man, for some reason. 2. Same goes for Tommy. He lets his guard down around shady strangers. In TLOU1 Tommy's crew instantly had guns on the player when they approached Jackson, until Tommy recognized Joel. Here, Tommy acts friendly and naive, which is out of character. 3. Abby hates Joel and with good reason, but conveniently seems to forget that he put himself at risk to save her out of pure kindness. She never mentions this and never considers that maybe Joel is not the awful person she thinks he is. Same goes for Tommy: Abby's crew hurt him even though Abby owes him her life. 4. Abby has Ellie sadistically pinned down and watching as Joel is tortured. Literally no reason to do this. Ellie has never done anything wrong to anyone at this point and she's just a young girl, watching in horror. Does no one in Abby's crew find this repulsive or sadistic...? At this point, they're all portrayed like sadistic sociopaths, but then the game somehow tries to make them sympathetic, which does not work at all, for me at least... If they're supposed to be decent people, they should have got Ellie out of there before they laid a finger on Joel. It's not like Joel could move anyway... So yeah, sorry for the very long comment, but like I said: no problem with killing Joel early. It's just that these mistakes murder Joel's and Tommy's characters, and also portray Abby and co as extremely evil people (which is a mistake, because the game wants to make you sympathize with them).
