Gustavo Santaolalla is a true genius. I love everything he has done for TLOU, but this theme in particular, is absolutely beautiful in every way. It's brilliant how it starts off chaotic and tense, just how Ellie feels as she's killing David. And then, it becomes something softer and sweeter, almost like a lullaby to your child, when Joel comforts her and tucks her in his arms. Love it.

This adds to the ellie killing david scene some kind of desesperation more than fury over him, showing that ellie was really desperate to kill him, that being the why of so many attacks

Also mentioning that at that point Ellie was scared of David and she just wanted to kill him to somehow feel relief inside her, to make that nightmare stop..
