Some brand new The Last of Us Facts and Glitches, some that have never been seen before. Various oversights that flew under the radar in all three versions of the game. Strap yourself in and enjoy!
i HATE it when subtitles don't match up to the voice lines. i don't understand how that goes unnoticed! surely, SOMEONE in QA brought it up, or some designer saw it, or even someone saw it playing past release? and it just never gets patched? totally insane to me and it happens way more often than you'd think.
A glitch I always abused in ps3/ps4 versions was when holding an upgraded melee, if you dropped it for another melee you'd get your upgrade materials back despite it not taking the upgrade away. Great way to farm shivs.
For the most part, I do think that the PS5 remake was an improvement, but there are some issues I have with it: -Joel is slightly less jacked -Melee combat isn't as fun, Joel doesn't hit as quickly and some execution moves, like the wall slam, were removed for some reason -They really should've let us use those badass multiplayer guns in NG+ -On a similar note, while it was nice of them to give us the assault rifle on NG+ (With infinite ammo no less) they honestly kind of ruined it by drastically increasing the recoil and having Joel take a tad longer to reload it Otherwise, it was definitely an upgrade.
Watching this video made me feel as if I had traveled back in 2014, when I used to play the game and watch a lot of tlou vids. It's insane that this game is already more than a decade old. Watching this made me feel nostalgic for that era. Thanks Freako, keep em coming!
When you get into the first alone and forsaken combat encounter in Pittsburgh, if you go left, vault the window to the outside alleyway, and look up, there’s a random floating water tower lol.
As someone who notices literally the tiniest details being misaligned in the environment (pipes and other metal works in the new avatar game) I have never seen that house issue and now it will haunt me every time lol.
I also remember in the PS3 version (I don’t think this is a bug but I found it funny) if you look at the sniper nest in the sniper section from the outside, the gun model is loaded with no person behind it and the bullet curves to where Joel is.
It's not a glitch but something which always triggered me is the very end, when we take Joel's hand and climb the edge to go up. Right after the last cutscene begin Ellie's not walking a single step as she is thinking about asking true to Joel. But as she hesitate to ask him, she step back 2 or 3 steps behind her so technically she would fall down the edge... I never saw someone talking about that. Everytime I see that scene am like "Aaaand she falls" lul
In Bills section on the Ps3/Ps4 version its the only time we see 2 decapitated infected heads, first one when he rescues Joel and second one a little bit later when he kills one that fell into one of his traps if you throw a brick or a bottle right to the head on the ground game will crash instandly this was patched on the remake
thanks for this video! the last of us games are my favorite so it's always interesting to learn some things i didn't know about! i wonder if they lied a little about "remaking the game from scratch" beings that they somehow re-introduced glitches from the original.
I had no idea about that room upstairs in sniper. Never saw that but the remake has some fun glitches in that area with the sniper coming out of the room invisible and invincible
On the PS4 version during winter when Ellie crawls out of the pipe to get to the lodge, if you hold sprint when exiting she will T-pose. Is this still in the PS5 version?
I got stuck in a table while playing ps4 remastered at bills place also i would jump into the next room during the hotel section and it would go completely white
Regarding that first one either the person working on that environment in the PS5 version wanted to be funny or for some reason the misalignment only happens in the final game. Like it looks perfectly fine in the editor/modeling software but then something messes up when the game is being compiled. It's a pretty specific oversight especially considering the other things you go over in this video. I honestly thought Joel spinning was intentional because of how consistent it was. To me it looked like he was spinning around to keep his momentum. Regarding that empty room at the end, probably a scrapped room that the devs forgot to make inaccessible in the original version. The PS5 version looks consistent with every other building so it's probably what was supposed to be in the original release. Side note, it's good to see you talk about the official games again. The fan game in dreams is cool but you were one of the few RU-vid channels that looked at the game code for TLoU1 so it's always nice to see you go back to it.
Why did you not mention the fact that Bill says that the truck Battery is dead, when you can literally hear it spinning the starting motor, I really thought you were going to mention that in the beginning of the video. I have never seen anybody else mention it.
Because the battery was dead. He mentioned “well the battery is dead, but the cells are alive.” Pretty much means that the battery was able to still hold a charge, it just wasn’t charged enough to supply 12 volts to start the motor. Which is why we had to push start the truck
Sadly car batteries have very confusing terminology like that when someone says they’re “dead.” Because often times lead acid batteries can be recharged if the cells can still hold a charge but the battery isn’t charged enough. It can also mean that the battery is straight up dead, including the cells and needs replaced. I can see how it’s confusing
Hay otro bug en el capitulo de la universidad, cuando joel y ellie ven a los monos por primera vez, los monos van a un techo que si te vas lo suficientemente lejos, vas a poder verlos ahí arriba.
Ok first one I get but the second one I don’t see why they would patch that up who goes into there bug during that part I never knew there was extra rooms thought most people would go left of the snapping building but there are a lot of bugs in naughty dog games
@@Freako i just think it’s just a glitch because it’s not supposed to happen same some other games like telltales the walking dead and some others that’s just what I think even the deck one I don’t think anyone will may attention to it that much that’s for most i played this game to many times on twitch and there’s a lot on the multiplayer mode
The unpatched version of Part 1 PS5 lets you get the sniper out with a smoke bomb. Hilarious fun ensues with Joel fighting an invisible guy who follows him all over the street. I posted a video of some of it.
It was obvious from the beginning that the "remake" wasn't made from the ground up like they told. Current naughty dog are pathetic liars, they don't respect their fan-base at all.
@@NikKart224 I wouldn't go as far as to call them liars, I just think they did what Sony asked them to do, which was to put out a new version in time for the TV series. They did what they could, upgrading the engine to Part II's version and making it prettier. Is it misleading to call it a remake? Absolutely, although I doubt they could have called it "Remastered² forreal bro". Was it a cash-grab? At 70$, of course. Am I pissed that they wasted time doing this instead of fully focusing on Factions 2 and opposing Sony's demands of making it a live service game? Fuck yes I am.
Yeah, and during that truck busting through the gate, the camera auto focuses behind and sometimes will stay locked in that position, making the escape impossible to complete. It still happens in the ps5 version.
