@@meowpop more or less yes, players usually turn it off in games rather it is good for video editing and other applications, but for games it is recommended to turn off the drops, I don't carry them anyway, but you will get a few FPS up even if the game is poorly optimized

Is this normal for a linear game that is few years old? Or is simply bad port and bad optimized? Shall we expect a future patch to fix this or we, the medium PC users, will struggle with this stuff forever?

no aint bad at all *yes, devs already working on it. they released memory leak fix, cpu usage fix. new game requires a lot of RAM, at least 32gb would be enough to remove stutters.

i've already downloaded 2 patches 1.0.1.5 yesterday, and 1.0.1.6 rn U have to understand, gamedevelopers wants to improve their technologies asap. so that may raise a new problems for regular users

@@avenue0 Forcing TAA and other nonsense stuff, 2k and 4k has nothing to do with improvements. Maybe it's just business. Make an older game consume alot of resources, therefore forcing most of players to upgrade. Also, Hogwarts Legacy have pretty good graphics too, open world, yet it doesn't require so much like Last of Us, a linear game. Also, LoU requires tons even on low/minimum.

@@avenue0 More looks like my 1070 not enough for this game at 1080p. I have it since 2016 imo its a 7yearas old card. Nvidia just not optmised the GTX series for the game just the RTX series. I checked some benchmark the RTX3060 can achieve 70-80fps high settings at 1080p. Its shame you need an RTX card to play the game with stable and 60+framerate in 2023.
