"Why do people always stay in the house?" Either leave the doubting husband or the house, movie over after day two. Acting doesn't look strong enough for a re -hashing of a re-hashed plot, that was obviously already re-hashed. The director got lucky to find producers who have never seen a horror movie script before. Jealous, not really just sad.
Absolutely nothing. The best stories will tell you what's happening and what people are feeling rather than showing that information in a visible medium. Amateur writers expect the audience to understand character feelings based on actor's portrayal and the context of the scene. But good writers have the characters relay narrative exposition to get the audience caught up. Preferably in a shot with no distracting action or visual focus.
