Always love seeing a Zimmer score analysis. I wish there was more of his stuff on channels like this. I know his music isn’t the most complex in terms of notation, but I still enjoy seeing it written out. I’d like to see I Don’t Think Now is the Best Time. Pirates is what got me into writing music in the first place.
@@connorbowen8867 Me myself? I write my own cues. I’m aware of his process. I feel like his process is blown out of proportion. If he likes collaborating when he writes, more power to him. That’s his choice, nothing wrong with it. But that has also inspired me to try and stray away from his style. Hans Zimmer’s style has been over copied and I wanna try to avoid being a Zimmer clone. Even if I never make it big I want my own voice. But it’s hard when directors want you to sound like Zimmer all the time. Hans is my favorite composer , but I recognize the effect he has had on the film music world. Good and bad.
The music does such a great job illustrating a slower pace of things. I love watching the scenes when they go to the village in the mountains, and everything is slow and deliberate. "The perfect blossom is a rare thing. You could spend your life looking for one, and it would not be a wasted life."
Niiice, an epic w/ emotive music that was ideal so thanks for this cuz it's a joy to see! Quigley Down Under, specifically The Attck would be awesome cuz it goes hard!
Second half of bar 103 is e (in the recording), not f. Also I hear some add2/add4 which are not written in the reduction, e.g. at 2:15 (both e&g) Hope the above is regarded as helpful/constructive criticism and not as ungrateful behaviour haha. Anyway, thanks for uploading
I can't stand this composer. He is personally responsible for the destruction of the Symphonic "Hollywood" style of film music. And yet, the music for this film is very successful, incredibly well executed and works very well for the film
