Shame, shame, shame on Hollywood for not having given not 1 but 10 Oscars to this great movie. Great Music, great performance, great screenplay. Such a masterpiece.
I really liked the film when it came out. But thinking back....they could have tweaked the story some--like not having one of the samurai stab Algren in the beginning as that takes maybe over a year to heal from...yet he healed in a few months...able to train in JP sword sword arts, help fight ninja--which he's never seen..professional SPEC OPS people of olde...the first in the world...no way they should have been seen...Algren should have been protected along with the women and kids....and then at the end...fight along side the Samurai??? In one year? Be the only one not shot to death??? How did he manage that one??? :)
