So, City Panic only increases if you allow enemies that are within the walls to survive at the *end* of the turn. Enemies that are contributing to City Panic are flagged with exclamation points on their character sprite. Another thing you'll want to consider is instead of holding the line, you want to be doing a fighting retreat instead. The monsters will only hold W until they're adjacent to something they can damage, and then aggro onto it until its destroyed (characters, buildings, defensive placements, etc), otherwise they'll just advance towards the ritual site. I hope these tips were helpful Mr. Fruit, I REALLY wanna see this become a mini series on the channel because this game is really fun to watch.

Love that you're playing this game man. You can use your essence immediately, no need to save. Also, if I'm not mistaken you can swap out weapons before the first day according to your heroes' stats because some weapons are obviously better suited to certain stats. But I wouldn't worry too much about that now. Also armor regenerates between turns, só don't try to whittle down unless you can start eating into their health. Exclamation marks are the ones who can possibly increase city panic so I prioritise them. I try to prioritise getting my rewards every night and its paid off really well thus far.
