In her early days with English National Opera, Valerie excelled as the pert maid Adele. in this concert performance we can hear all the charm and humour that the role demands. We also have all the staccati and high notes too!
In later years with the company Valerie moved on to playing Rosalinda. What a shame that no commercial recordings were ever made of her in these roles.
