Really enjoyed this video, great as usual. There are a couple of points I want to make regarding routes running in from Bradford: 1) The 72 is meant to be operated with Streetdecks I think, as 35214-35228 moved from Bramley to Bradford with the 72 a couple of years ago, however as I'm writing this (31/05/2021) only 3 of the 8 buses on the 72 today are Streetdecks. The X6 usually fares better and has a full suite of branded Streetdecks but occasionally a B7TL/B9TL will turn up. 2) Interestingly as a result of Leeds -> Bradford bus transfers there are now probably more buses at Bradford depot with Pulse branding than there are at Leeds depots, even though the branding was made for Leeds, which is quite funny imo. Again the video was a great watch, cheers for making it :)
Thank you I'm glad you liked the video. Aye Streetdecks 35214-28 went to Bradford in October 2018 with the service changes that saw the 72 go to Bradford and 576 get fully taken over by First Halifax. They do tend to be good allocating at the moment with Sunday service been the main day when allocations are more B9s. Regarding the X6, the new every 7 min frequency at peak times means there isn't enough X6 Streetdecks to cover thus why B9s and B7s appear a lot more on there currently.
Most recent trip I did to Bakewell was a few weeks ago so may not have been me unfortunately. I will be around that area in the next few weeks to come though so do keep your lookout!
No worries I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I am currently in the process of doing some route visuals as they are called for certain bus services so do keep a lookout for them as I'll be launching them as part of a new series very soon.
TBH I think that the buses with colours that aren't a green front should actually have brandings on the side for the red they have the 1, 6, 8, 27, 28, 29 and occasionally X84.
Thats a good video. I like the Leeds City brand livery in the two tone green. It would be nice if first could invest in places like Halifax. At least give them some brand new buses.
Apparently, Lothian is odd for withdrawing buses slightly earlier than other companies would. This doesn't make sense, how is it odd wanting to have a young, high quality, well built, modern, highspec fleet? The issue is, people keep taking buses to far and as a result they are comparing to other companies when it comes to their favourite buses being sold, and they do all they can to complain. Buses are not made to people to listen and look at, for people to adore . Buses can be withdrawn whenever suitable, not when it is averaged to be. The younger the fleet, the better. The point of buses is to provide a good transport service
There's also a new Park & Ride service PR3 coming to Leeds soon with the electric BYDs. I think that First Bus Leeds is starting to ditch streetdecks and moving onto electric vehicles. UPDATE: Despite the new PR3 BYDs being in service for a service, they will be withdrawn pretty soon and replaced by brand new streetdecks. I have no idea where they will be heading afterwards.
It's a shame the repaints don't get refurbished to the original Leeds city spec: with next stops, free wifi, charging, and Euro VI (or better). The branding slightly changes above the door (contactless /m-tickets / free wifi / USBs / Tracking) on some of them but they are the same. - must be false advertising to say free wifi here and not provide it. also, they want to start/trail DRT in East Leeds soon™ (so its a taxi system not time tables)
Aye there are a few mishaps in the brand that is a shame but at the end of the day we have to make most of the fact we were given a new brand that on the main front does look okay
Transdev said that they will be adding regular buses this Summer up to Whitby and I find out that there is only 3 buses per day to Whitby and no buses on the 840 actually go to Leeds which is a joke.
Thank you for your continued support it is greatly appreciated! I must say compared to the early days the videos are much nicer and more enjoyable to record too!
