Iowa basketball star Caitlin Clark does things on the court that have never been done before… and shouldn’t even be possible. But you better believe your eyes.
as a man i couldnt care less about womens sports. womens sports that look like high schoolers isnt entertaining at all. wnba players will never earn the same as their nba counterparts. the nba isnt even their counterparts. womens basketball doesnt look like professional sports
You cannot compare her to pistol Pete/Michael Jordan/and who she hasn't past in points Pearl Moore yes she is being over rated she's not the Great White Hope yet
@@johnmcdowell85 It's pretty common for D1 achievements to garner more publicity than the other collegiate levels. Pearl wasn't D1. Plus women's basketball was not the same caliber then as it is today.
Top-notch mini documentary. Pretty much all the facts are 100%...except Iowa is not as proud of their dairy as Wisconsin is. CC's inspiring choice of going to a school where she wouldn't be surrounded by 5-star recruits seems to also be her biggest weakness when GOAT status comes up.
Everybody know why some people hate on her, it’s not really that difficult to understand what’s the reason. Anyway she’s Greatness, so people can just cope.
Not sure why anybody should be baiting Caitlyn, she’s put so much time and effort into perfecting her game, she deserves the world. Proud to be an Iowa fan, before during and after Caitlyn.
My sister plated 6 girl. It’s funny for some reason, until last year when I started watching, I thought the girls played 6 girl. I would imagine there could be some serious records from 6 girl.
@nomercyinc6783 the way it worked was 3 girls from each team were on offense on one end of the court the 3 on defense on the other. It was very fun to watch
@@fingerpickingood1900 yes there are some serious six girl records. Single game scoring record is 111pts.; 4 year records are over 13000. You can look up 6 girl records in Iowa on the internet.
There’s maybe one or two years where it might be reasonable to argue that having a female player on a male basketball team is unfair, and that’s the age where some get their growth spurt before males, around 8-10 years old. But that argument is a stretch, no pun intended.
She's very, very good, but so are a number of other players this year. If you play a lot of weak teams, you can score a lot. NCAA seems eager to hype her. The Indiana game showed that she cannot carry the team alone, and it seems unlikely Iowa will be in the final four. I'm just saying that it's over the top to enthuse that she is the GOAT and will change women's basketball forever. We'll see how well she fares in pro ball.
Statistically speaking she is the GOAT; End of year she will be all time NCAA leading scorer BOTH Women’s & Mens. Plus her 32+ pts per game average is far ahead of the 25+ ppg that Bueckers, Reese, Hidalgo & Watkins have at their respective schools. It’s obvious you don’t know what you are talking about
Well, we’ll get to see how she and her team does in the upcoming NCAA tournament. Basketball is, after all, a team sport. She just seems over-hyped in this video in a true ‘Fan’ way, even extolling ‘trash talk’. I haven’t compared all her stats against the other female basketball stars of the past. She is unquestionably a great player.
Way to propogate lies. The opposing coach lied about CC's shots per game. #don'tbeasheryl lied about shots, years, age. You can't provide 1 single quote of her ''trash''' talk. Opposing players have targeted her with the same racist overtones that Tiger Woods faced. Dawn Staley put race-baiting words in Coach Bluder's mouth, then positioned her players as victims and role models... of course there is today, blind-siding violence resulting in suspension with the tourney coming up.
She's impressive no doubt, but quit that NBA level talk. She's not shooting an NBA size ball, on an NBA size court nor being guwrded against by an NBA prospect. Give her realistic props
How is Pete Maravich's record in jeopardy?? How many mens college games has she played? NONE. Plus he was only allowed to play 3 yrs. She has played 129 games as of today, Pete played only 83 games! Plus she plays with a smaller ball which makes a basket easier. You can't say she is breaking his record when she hasn't played a single men's game!
Pete maravich took alot more shots to set his record..where that Caitlin Clark took alot less shots to break Pete maravich record.. that how Caitlin Clark break Pete maravich record and become the greatest college basketball player ever. Pete maravich take 39 shots a game to set his record. Caitlin Clark took 19 shots a game to break Pete maravich record. If Caitlin Clark would have took 38 shots a game like Pete maravich did. Caitlin Clark would have broken Pete maravich record along time ago. Caitlin Clark would have broken Pete maravich record in her 2nd year of play college basketball.. That proven Caitlin Clark is the greatest college basketball player and she broken Pete maravich record.
It’s kinda messed up that if a woman’s good enough she can’t play in the nba. Especially in todays spot-up league she’d probably be able to do that as well as any dude
@@ron88303 In today’s touch-foul NBA that half the players never even take a shot from inside the arch? Yeah I think she could. Don’t tell me she couldn’t play D - she wouldn’t have to. Look at Kyrie. Dudes never even thought the word “defense” let alone played it. She’d be better than Sam Hauser out there.
@@Andy_BabbI don’t know if she would be able to get her shot off though. Hauser is 6’9”. If she was consistently getting open shots she would be deadly though
When are people ever going to learn that NIL money doesnt stop after you leave college! So this notion of a pay cut to go to the WNBA is total nonsense!
Smaller ball 29.5 vs 28.5 makes it easier to fit thru the rim. Lighter weight allows weaker people to shoot farther 22 ozs vs 18 ozs that's 22% lighter. court size 12% shorter in length less time spent going up and down the court. shorter 3pt line 22ft vs 20.5ft 7% closer to the rim. Only a naive person would came she broke Pete Maravich record of 3 years. She played four years under different rules. Wonder how she would have done if a 15 year old boy had guarded her for the last four years?
The problem with Catlin is, she doesn't know how to make her co-players better. One person cannot make an entire team! Something she could learn from South Carolina women's basketball team. SC works together as a team and therefore they are undefeated. If you watch the games Iowa has lost and yes, there are four of them Catlin could have played WITH her teammates much better and probably won but because all this media attention has made her into a self-centered narcissist, she will shoot and miss when she should have passed off or made an assist. That way she doesn't get as much of the limelight, but her team becomes better as a whole! MY point one exceptional player doesn't necessarily make a an exceptional team. Here is the proof SC 29 W 0 L Iowa 26 W 4 L
