It is a really good game but it wasn´t ahead of its time. It was released just around FFIX which was vastly superior in every aspect. I replayed LoD 2019 and it is still a classic but it does not belong into the Olymp of the best PSX JRPGs imo (even though it comes pretty close).
I remember playing this game directly after beating FF7, thinking no game could ever compare to FF7, but this game not only compared, but also was quite amazing in it's own right. The battle technique was truly innovative.
believe or not this boss gave me serious headaches before i finally beat him after several tries.. alltho i was 9 years old and didnt know shit about english language or the items in game x)
I remember playing this game and I had no idea how to play a turn based rpg. I never once equipped an item nor did I grind levels. Beat the whole game it took forever. Melba took 3 and a half hours
this game is unlike anything I have ever seen. when I started playing this game I couldent stop ( but I did for like 3 years) but I continued playing it until the end. I really wanted them to make legend of dragoon 2. because this game takes me back. it will always and truly my favorite game
Most people don't know it but 9999 HP on Dart is perfectly possible without cheats. You don't even need to be on max level. Just grind to LV50 and equip a Physical Ring :)
I think this fight was a lot of fun as a kid once I figured out that you can't use the Dragoon Armor, but from a game play stand point, it was dumb to have him use the Dragon Cockblock staff at the beginning of the fight so that you couldn't use the new Dragoon armor you just got.
@@FelixS. oh yeah! 😎 with her Pretty Hammer, Rainbow Dress, Dancer’s Shoes, Magical Hat, and Sapphire Pin/Mage Ring = unbeatable. Lots of SP recovery and MP recovery. Constant dragoon transformation and endless Rainbow Breaths for healing. What else could you ask for 🤣. I sold all my hp healing items bc Meru covered that part.
this boss is not that hard only that he tanky like steel that the fight got prolonged to hours and it makes you tired. btw if you unlucky, his 3rd form have some abilities to cause confusion status, once it hit 3 of my party and my party keep hitting each other till they die. the most hardest was faust i think , the secret boss aka melbu farma vice general.
after the first playthrough, the game shouldn't be difficult anymore. Literally beat melbu without using any dragoon power with level 40 Dart alongside Haschel and Albert around level 35-37. I completely forgot that melbu uses confusion magic on his final form too. Survived through that fortunately and the rest was a piece of cake.
i won this fight on my first attempt had white girl, dart and the yellow goliath guy the majority of the fight dart and the goliath were unconcious and the white girl basically was tanking the whole thing solo with the white dragon heal and her take half damage from pretty much everything
I've never grinded all the way up to LVL 60. Although I grinded enough to have 3x legend armors plus one legend casque. And everytime I see someone messing up a combo outside of an unexpected counter on RU-vid. I end up cringing a bit. Although, tbh, I always sucked at Dragoon attack combos
The don't have cheats on its own. You have to download a program to hack the game. It's called PEC (PSX Emulation Cheater) it will install a plugin for your PS1 emulator. Choose the plugin from your emulator and start the program. There's a giant list of games. Find Legend of Dragoon from the list, select cheats you want and activate them. Then return to your emulator and start the game.
I wish thay would bring this game back and update it to the new graphics I had this game on ps and I don't know what happened to my game it grow lags walked away
i was 10 when i came finally to the moon, but then melbu frahma was too hard when his life is red. 1 year ago i played this till the end and it was awesome
Andre Landry, some people, (like me) like to use additions because they’re so satisfying to complete, and do a lot of damage. Also Dragoon forms aren’t that much more powerful.
No game can outdo Legend of Dragoon. The boss battle songs, the additions system, the items, the systems for items, (repeatedly tapping x and tapping x at the right for additions), and the characters...FF7 SUCKS!
