This game has the greatest importance to me since it was the first JRPG my dad ever bought me. My brother and I played through it together (though I mainly just watched because I was too little to really understand how the game worked.) so when I hear the music it legitimately raises my hairs. It takes me back to an honestly happier place. It makes me very happy to see some of this music being kept alive in the modern year through formats like this. Thank you.
same, first JRPG. funny story i got stuck on divine dragon like a senior in high school. found my old memory card like 10+ years later, Save game still worked! and then beat the game lolol.
Yo I don't know how emotional this comment makes me, I relate to this and I've lost both my father and brother, this game and soundtrack means alot and so do you all who appreciate it .
Same my dad bought us this game . And me and my bro played this. I was the young one and I remember when he couldn't beat lenus and he left the controller and went to work and somehow I did it and we were so happy! I miss that..
These songs are forever etched in my memory from my childhood. With this, now I can stealthily play these songs for others as background music. Thanks! Great work
Grassy Plains, Together in Peace with you, Apparent Peace (Shrine of Shirley), Winds of the Sea (Queen Fury), Whispering of the Trees. There are a couple more than those, but they are just a couple more good ones you could try :) @@jpsoundworks
I love this. But it grinds my gears that the Saxophone part is poorly generated with a program. If you want you can reach out to me and send me some kind of sheet music - I play alto sax and tenor sax so if you want to, I can record the parts and you might be able to improve this mix.
Thank you so much, yes the sax is generated by midi mapping, so it's exactly a vst or a program. Nice to know you. Perhaps in the future I will give you the music sheet so you can play the sax. 🙏
@@jpsoundworks Ditto on wanting the sax sheet music to this, I'd love to noodle around on it. This whole jam is the bomb though, thank you for your work putting this all together
I'm here once again. Currently spending my time in Poland and listening to this masterpiece. It's Tuesday evening. My Name is David, I am 34 years old and I do whatever I want ... until it kills me
Was a nice change, but don't think it personally works for this OST....LOD already has some proper chill-out vibe songs on it or maybe im just not into lofi lol, nice job regardless
I never want a remake. Whoever Sony gets to work on it won't understand at all everything that made this game so beloved. It will get the FF7 treatment and be chopped up and shat all over in the name of profit, pandering, ignorance, or all 3. Mark my words.
