The Legend of Heroes - Trails of Cold Steel II - Crossbell Side Story - The Occupation 

The first time I played this chapter, I played Cold Steel II first. When the camera panned across Crossbell's Central Square, it was of mild interest to me, since I've only heard of Crossbell through dialogue from Trails in the Sky and Cold Steel I. But after I played Trails from Zero and Trails to Azure, I replayed this chapter again. It was like a veil had been ripped from my eyes. This time, I recognized everyone in the Square. The girl who frequently got the meaning of SSS wrong and her father, the girls constantly gossiping outside the department store, members of the Junior SSS, Coppe, the occupied SSS Building itself... The first time I saw this scene, I was looking at it from the perspective of an outsider. An invading Erebonian. The people and the place meant nothing to me. But the second time, I was a local of Crossbell. How could I not be after roaming the city for two games? I understood the feeling of the other Crossbellians, seeing invaders in your home, turning it strange and alien. Bravo to Falcom from creating such an immersible world.

"I'm just kinda jealous of them I guess." Llyod never gave up and kept fighting for the path he believed in. Rean was forced to be Osborne's puppet despite everything he went through.

Since I started with Cold Steel first when I wasnt too aware of the series' order, none of the names mentioned and everything else made much sense to me. But now that I finally got started on Zero after finishing the Sky games, it's nice to be able to put a face to all the names and get all the references.

I have a new appreciation for this entire level now that I've played zero

Now I finished Zero and AO No Kiseki ( thanks to Geofront's huge and perfect translation ), I realized I hadn't understood anything the first time I played this xD Every message box feels like a reference to the Crossbell's Arc, even down to hidden stuff ( how Reporter grace knows Reins' identity 👀 )

Lloyd's voice actor is also the voice actor for Goro Akechi in Persona 5.

Just when I thought the game was gonna end after playing these 2 in Crossbell, there's ALOT more to do! I love these games! Thanks Falcom!!

Damn It felt so weird fighting Rean as Lloyd. I knew there was going to be a zero/ao reference at some point in the game. But i did not expect it to go like this.

I've just finished Ao no Kiseki(leaked english fan translation) today, i can now relate to all of their talking.

How cool is the fact that they used the Zero no Kiseki music for the Geofront. They should have kept it in CS3 instead of making new generic music. I am still at the Infernal Castle, so a long way for me to reach this episode...

Man when i heard Get Over the Barrier again. Thats when i knew this would be my favourite part of the game.

Damn hearing the Crossbell cast in English caught me off guard lol. Since I played the Crossbell arc with Japanese audio .

So I finally finished up the finale at the castle. That twist I never even saw coming. Now I'm at the part where I'm about to start the underground. So I'm seeing Crossbell for the first time. I'm guessing these two are actual characters from the Crossbell games?

We need more of rean being a savage that is how it should be

Not having played Ao No Kiseki, this was quite the experience for me. I initially groaned, "Ugh, another dungeon, gotta learn how to play with this dude and the pop star girl?" Then I started bopping my head and tapping my foot to GEOFRONT. Entered first battle, theme got me so hype. The dungeon ended up being incredibly fun, and I just kept wanting to know more about the two. Then Rean + Altina show up (huh?! what's going on here?) and OMG that whole fight with "Blue Destination", fucking awesome. By the end, Lloyd won me over, I like this dude. Rixia too. Well done Falcom. I was going to buy CS3 anyway, but after this part, damn, I couldn't wait. Kinda sad that I didn't have the context of playing Ao No Kiseki, for this part and my playthrough of CS3. Was also disappointed that I didn't see more of Lloyd and friends in CS3 either, but this is just getting me more hype to find a way to play Ao No Kiseki and eventually CS4. So now I'm making sure I get maximum enjoyment in time for CS4, just started Trails In The Sky on steam, already love Estelle. 2020: Year of Coronavirus? Nah, The year Falcom reignited my love for RPG's.

They should have used entirely only with Zero or Azure's OST including boss fight during the final part of this section. It is a missed opportunity.

Wish we had their battle theme the entire game

This makes me feel like Rixia and Lloyd are canon lovers. He has a Sun theme like youknowwho and she has a Moon theme. Noel is also a potential favorite, since their ideals are the exact same. Another “ship them with the main girl” story gets boring.

oh god i haven't finish the game yet, but damm watever did lloyd and others do they must've failed pulling the strings like usual at some point.

Does this part happen no matter what or does it need to be unlocked. I'm almost at the end of my playthrough and looking forward to this crossbell chapter.

Rean, step aside, Lloyd is the true hero of Erebonia. Erebonia would have been the one getting occupied if not for Lloyd's efforts.

I don't understand the decision of making 2 important characters as Rixia and Elie be voiced by the same actress.

I wish you'd change that thumbnail, as it spoils Rixia's battle outfit reveal for those playing Zero no Kiseki and Ao no Kiseki. You never see this outfit until much later in Ao no Kiseki.

Rean is so nice, he would defeat Llyod if he doesn't hold back, let alone calls Valimar. It's clear that he won this fight, but in CS3 he said that he was lost to Lloyd just to cheer up Juna 💕

Its funny just how much weaker Lloyd is compared to Rean.

Agressively generic looking dude and absolute demon of fanservice make an interesting combination. 😅

damn i forgot how sluggish and shitty the animations looked, not that cs3 improved anything. all i can do is hope that they change this graphic style in the next title.
