Finally got to play this a few years back. Beyond Oasis is my first action RPG and I cherish the hell out of it. I read alot of reviews that say this one isn't great, or Beyond Oasis has blocky graphics. Blocky graphics?! Wtf? The scaling is so cool in this too. Fantastic and majorly overlooked gem.
I have Beyond Oasis for the Sega Genesis and loved that game, and completed that game soon after I bought it years ago. And I also have this Legend of Oasis for the Saturn which I bought years ago when it was first out at retail. I absolutely loved the Genesis game but didn't care for this game much at all. And I still haven't even completed this game after all these years. From what I've played of this Saturn game so far the graphics on the Genesis game actually look a lot better to me than this game which I can't understand considering how much more the Saturn's cpu speed and specialized chips should help this game be much better. I'll probably take another try at this game again soon and try to enjoy it. But Saturn games like Shining Force 3, Shining the Holy Ark, and Albert Odyssey were 100 times more impressive to me than this
