I just love how this started as "Hey, we want to make a 20 minute animation. Can we get some money for that?" And everyone was just "Cool. How about 2 seasons worth?" It's amazing how far it has gone

Sam saying "David Tennet's in our show! What?!" has the same energy as "oh my god it's Robert Downey Jr."

The fact that we get to hear GREY GRIFFIN aka AZULA screaming "I BROKE THE WORLD FOR US!" ??? Weeping crying will never be the same

They essentially have actors from The Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Star Wars, Doctor Who, Brooklyn Nine Nine, Overwatch, The Walking Dead providing their voices for this show. That's just unbelievably awesome!

This cast gives off strong "everyone here is thrilled that they get to be involved with it" vibes, which is usually a very good leading indicator

I couldn't stop grinning at David Tennant as General Krieg, but Stephanie Beatriz as Lady Kima is the single standout casting choice in this whole video.

It took me a second to register this .. Delilah Briarwood is Azula. I can't even express how excited I am for her. Azula has been my absolute favorite villain for years, and a big part of that is that incredibly sinister confidence that Griffin brought to the role. Perfect choice.

I guess this is what happens when you put a bunch of voice actors in charge. The sound quality on this is gonna be insane.

I nearly cried seeing Dominic Monaghan. Lord of the Rings is so close to my heart and one of the catalysts for the high fantasy genre and DND itself. It feels so right and wonderful to have someone who brought that story to life also be apart of this.

Pretty much every time they introduced a new actor I yelled "No way!" And then they just kept pulling out new actors that got me immensely hyped.

We all know that Matt has the range, but seeing this amazing cast they brought in to play all the characters he's brought to life for years really makes me realize the amount of work Matt gives to this show.

I have never made a comment on youtube an probably never will again. This made me tear up. I have followed Critical Role for years now and the love for the story, the setting and each other that the Crit Roll cast have for each other is amazing.

I got pretty emotional seeing David Tennant as one of the revealed voice actors for the show. My Mom was obsessed with anything David is in, and I know that this would have been something that she would have watched with me just because he is in it, lol. She passed away last March, so seeing him pop up after having not heard about him in a while kinda hit me in the feels. I couldn't be more excited for this show and it only means more to me now. Thank you guys for such a wonderful gift!

I love that they went from voice-actors who play dnd, to a dnd business who also have voice-acting jobs, to voice-acting the dnd characters they started with.

I love Matt's attitudes, so many want to ignore other part in giving live to a creation and want to hold so tightly they kill it. But Matt got it right and I expect it to thrive and be fantastice.

I stumbled across Critical Role while season one was being aired originally. It got me through many a tough days. And to see all this…I get emotional because so many of us cried, laughed, and yelled while watching this group play eating foods patrons literally ordered for them all while watching through the sound tech issues. This makes my heart so happy and Matt saying this is our world…Thank you, because you don’t know how much this world means to so many Critters.

"David Tennant's in our show? WHAT!?" Says the dialogue director for his most recent animated TV series voice acting gig. Also it's going to be Great seeing Tennant as "General Kreig" especially if the series relates the events leading to Pike's white hair.

Something tells me if this was picked up by the big names, the show wouldn't have ended up like this, with a brilliant, ridiculously talented cast, a fucking incredible animation and such a care to deliver a great adaptation that they're proud of and that for sure will make us fall in love even more with vox machina.

My favorite thing about this video is seeing all the VO actors' at home setups.

These behind the scenes vids keep bringing tears to my eyes. Like what even, David Tennant? A hobbit? Game of Thrones folks??? It's amazing to have watched this rag-tag group of voice actors bring their universe to life. Just like their campaigns, starting off as a small group of adventurers, to becoming god-like heroes. It's insane and I'm so proud to just be able to watch it happen. I'm proud of them as fellow human beings achieving such a thing!

This is incredible. Who could ever have imagined this? I remember sitting in on a Geek and Sundry panel at SDCC in 2017 not knowing who Vox Machina were. And now we're here!?!? Love this, love Critical Role and the Critters. Bidet, all!

I’m so excited that Felicia Day is going to be a part of this given how integral and supportive she was to the start of Critical role. It’s amazing to see all these friends and connections come together to create something so unique.

Just finished the show, and looked at the cast. MY GOD!! Star-studded is an understatement!

The casting is so perfect I am in literal tears. The last time I was this excited over casting news was in 1999, when news of LOTR cast started emerging, and every choice was straight from my "Perfect casting is a pipe dream, but wouldn't it be cool if Peter Jackson somehow ended up casting actor X as character Y anyways?" -list. Yeah, this feels EXACTLY like that.

Fun fact, this show was actually based on a little known DND stream called "Critical Role." You may not have heard of it, but it's quite good.

My favorite parts of this BTS are the voice actors recording from their closets and other homemade "recording booth" solutions.

I am actually crying. It warms my heart to see this. All of THIS. Come to life. Like... Wow... I know that movies and shows are storytelling and it has to begin somewhere but to come from such humble origins and to have so many people, so many talented people, so invested.. This is the kind of stuff we need more of in the world. I wish I could convey how happy this makes me, but sometimes words fail. Just thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything and letting us into your world and making it ours too.

This actually floored me. Several of these are completely perfect. Kelly Hu's line reading was incredible. I am somehow more excited again. This is going to be a cross over hit, baby. Bring in those normallows.

I absolutely love voice actors handpicked by voice actors. The CR crew has lived these stories and these characters, and they know EXACTLY what they're looking for. You know it's going to be an amazing product when you can see just how passionate they are.

Gina Torres hasn't aged a day in 20 years I swear. Love her. This cast is completely nuts. CR never fails to deliver. I am so ready to binge the hell outta this show.

You know what I love about all of this? Besides the careful, deliberate thought to cast each character just so... The fact that established show producers turned this project down, for whatever reason, so the Critical Role team asked for help from the fandom, and are now making something brilliant where they maintain control and got fantastic talent! So many execs must be kicking themselves in the crotch lol

Not gunna lie, the crescendo of this to me was hearing "Death to the Derolos" sound so good! this was shockingly touching to the fanboy in me.

Very impressive cast, I was not expecting Tennant in there at all! It keeps me hopeful that we might get Mark Hamill as The Whispered One eventually....

Tennant's words are so genuinely wholesome. He's clearly passionate about animated shows like these and encapsulates the way I too wish shows were made.
