Yes Sir.. I Was Around When Jam Would Pull Up Groovin On His Show Bike..Yes Im One Of The Homegirls From 74 That Was Hollering 3 x 4 & 74 Hoova Criminals Woah❤ Lmao Big Bub You Took Me Back❤
Yeah, y'all know I got all caught up in that crack epidemic and wasn't around like I was in the beginning. I was spiraling downward and wasn't able to pull MYSELF up until after I came home in 2004. I hit the ground running this time though. My. 1st stop 81st. Steph say Sis, they over here trying to build a County Building. We don't want that we want a JOB CENTER with training and apprenticeship programs. WE WANT JOBS for our folks not welfare... ( 😉 Mission Accomplished 🙏🏿) And as we speak a college AND boarding school is being built on Vermont. All it takes is for leadership to have VISION. Steph knows 1st hand THE NEEDS of our community because she's always stayed ten toes down RIGHT THERE. We are ONE TEAM with many players. Each over time, perfecting their position. Love and Blessings Family #HoovaHey
I'm not a hoover but a Muslim you explained yourself very well and hit every point that needed to be said I see why minster Farrakhan love the hoovers you are a very well spoken group of people you are right unity is the key not just for crips but all black people I will subscribe peace 🤔
You definitely schooled me. I was not around when Criminal was birthed. But I definitely played my role in creating those remixes. We had one the went to Bootsy Collins' Roto Rooter. We'd say "Hoover Groover baby (blank😉) re-moo-vaaaa." You just took me back down memory lane with that... Good stuff loved one. Peace and blessings to you and your Queen always 🙏🏿
I believe that the solution lies in exactly what Steph and the others are out here doing thru Advocates 4 Peace and Urban Unity. We created APUU to be of service to OURSELVES. Can't nobody fix H BUT us H's. I SOLUTE the homies for all of the work that they do and for creating programs that handle everything from food shortages to mental health. First by educating ourselves and then our community. If we could take this protocol and implement it across the country in every set, then we will have created the platform to bring about the much needed change. We will have given the "offspring" of H, something better to look forward too than a toe tag or a body bag.
Much love to this channel I grew up in ETG section of Los Angeles and it was nothing but love when i used to go up in the music staff and shoot pool and the same when the Hoovers would come to the players choice! Keep up the great work homie!
Most surly you've been blessed to articulate the historical formation of Hoover Criminals. I want to bring one thing light that cannot be ignored in this history. Big Scooby from seventy fourth street is one of the tribal members who banged side by side with Baby S and Gave his all every day to entrench that foundation down Hoover Street. I cannot think of anyone other than him who wholeheartedly activated that concept into fruition in his age range on those streets at that time ....bro you did justice to the various elements in the collective. I SALUTE YOU ...
Just to be clear he stated a lot of what you been said. You sound like a front liner. I just want to tell you we as outsiders are confused sometimes and he gave us something that we can understand clearly. But I want the record to reflect you have been stated the position of the Hoover Criminals so I definitely want to give you your props for your insight, input and history
Since Hoover’s are the oldest west side Crip gang, why did y’all drop Crip when y’all have the seniority in cripping? Neighborhood should have dropped it, not y’all. Hoover’s leadership go back to the beginning of crippin itself. Raymond Washington’s enforcers like Bulldog made Hoover Crip into a household name.
I used to sing in my early times a love song to the groove.. Anita baker “Angel”. And we would say. Hoooove. Hoo-ooaoovee. Instead of the. Ooohhhh. And then continue. If I could. I’d give you the world. Wrap it all around with Hoove. Won’t be satisfied with just a piece of this heart. My Angel. And then my favorite verse goes. “ You... give me love, you keep right on giving Fill me up, baby, with the joy of living When things get tough I can always turn to Hoove”. You’re my Angel
Ok now this is clear, consice, and profound! Another, faction with another ideology, emerged around 88-89 and you have the reasons why. The history is laid out thank you for that!
Wassup OG. Just want to say that this is a great channel that you have here. People here so much about the neighborhood Crips and the 83 gangsters so I think it's real good to finally hear some true west side Hoover history
Hey my brother u spoke well.I’m from l.a.and it’s time for us all to change l.a.with blacks.everybody else is getting ahead and we’re still stuck on just killling each other.it’s way to much energy in it even though people than died.u would agree if u grew up in l.a. it don’t make since no mor to add no new kids to this madness.
I, we, agree. It's past time for peace amonsgt us. And, communication is sorely needed between us to understand the energy we all possess. Let's figure out how to sit down to start the dialog.
I’m from New Orleans but love the way u break down yall history. In Nola Creole/blacks have a culture of our own. I guess that’s why I lk California history. Yall have yall own culture
Bro great content. I'm in Mississippi but Listening to these stories is fascinating. I am connected to so many people mentioned in some type of way.... Ricc Rocc my fam.... John Singleton folks from my hometown here in Mississippi.... 3 finger Louie brother gave me my nickname. It's crazy. Keep up the great work.
Much love to the GROOVE i had a round about with a 60 in texas.. knocked him out and word went around his homies wanted to try me.. My homie from Hoover Arkansas Yella said im on my way.. came from Washington state the week after for support... much love under the groove.
OG, are you able to speak on the history of the Hoover Crips and Criminals in other states like Oregon, New York, Washington or OKC? Or any history on the Texas Hoovers and how they have 52 Hoover Crips and 52 Hoover Gangster Crips?
The first crips i ever met was hoovers when i went to visit family in Florida back in 97. I was hanging with them all summer and was actually gonna get put on but changed my mind bcuz i was going back to nyc after the summer and at that time i didnt of any crips in nyc so i was like nah fuck that im good
Love this. And yes let’s discuss a solution because I have a few great ones. Please speak about the early 60s Hoover Groovers being from brims/bloods before crips.
Ima Yung Hogg myself lok and Have tHougHt about tHat exact question like y stay crip. But I’m way out Va witH a small voice. Keep up tHe progress Family
Plenty crip sets beef with other crips tho. It’s like a last name .. even though u may not fuck w some fam members don’t mean that you no longer have that blood line
Listen groove. Know the real script you functioning from. The OG get down, is the real script. Though it's the yung grooves turn, still know your roots, where, what you come from.
@@UnderThaGroove Ots Big. THats wHat I’m on I’m 32 done did 12 yrs total but nun to sHow. Too mucH love to give it up so I figg’d let’s do us but do us as grown men. Plus tHe Hriginal way is tHe blueprint never defer just elevation love & respect for all tHe founding & active members #CrownBusiness
Bro this is the most insightful and accurate version of what cracked off that day in the module 2100 homie in fact you served it with a slice of humble pie by not mentioning what happened to that individual after he scratched the homie. Which I think shows just how not personal it was but just a case of gang war business which lead to certain gangs being designated in that very same module today after 30 odd years. As a FDHGC enlisted member then I never subscribed to the criminal movement but respected the homies motion from a Hoover stand point. But let me say this though I may not have agreed to the movement Them Hoovers made it acceptable for crips to not embrace bloods but openly function with them under certain circumstances click up and all that shit.At one point they all had an alliance that I didn’t quite understand. In spite of the whole ck bk thing the Hoovers seem to to flourish thru the turbulent times and changed the face of California gang culture
Yeah the homie did... But I also know how it went down. That buster toast nigga tried.but did not succeed. The HXXVEZ.beat them clowns in the day room.the boy got hit all upside the head with a mop ringer. Then HXXVERZ stayed.and them toast niggas had to leave from the module
Bro about time some body gave it to the ppl exactly how criminal came about a lot of cats don’t know they own history let alone by standers that incident was the catalyst to what you see I considered fun at the it took place but came realize the impact that it would have
Was thinking and wondering if you can share some video footage or pictures GROOVEN IV Life car club. I used to have video footage and pictures but picture album was lost and camera was stolen with car back in the 90s.
Look at all the rumors/ Hoovas great show Bub and it's good you gave Shady 3 / baby S his props because that's the rendition I always knew . If the story wasn't exactly accurate I can say 4 show it started in the 7Tz and 8Tz. Great show Respectfully IKing Allah
Bro . In all due respect we actually started ourversion of this Crimin' in 1987 in 4800 after I and about 8 homies were packed out . Hawk was up stairs at the time. But yes multiple sets got together over night . On 74 the people who jumped us actually smiled in our faces and daily as bros b4 that shit. So yeah... It made no sense to do anything contrary regarding bussin our own crim . No disrespect. But yes 87' 4800 Hoover Street Knowledge. Peace
Hey OG can you do a bit on "the great migration" in other words the cities the Verz hit like Portland aka PO and Seattle aka Seatown and T-Tacoma and our influences in the cities and losses like Vampire and Peanut in Seattle -- HIP to Lik Killa in Oklahoma
Can anybody explain the relationship with the 211 Criminals? I knew some in high school (mid 90's). They were the first Criminal gang I knew of. The Hoovers I had encountered in that era were Crips. The 211's did mention that in jail they rolled with Hoovers. I'm so far removed from all this today, but I'm still curious. Were the 211's Criminals first?
@@curtisjohnwell-kg4vh I don't know what year they came out. I only know the ones I knew in 93-94. I never thought to ask them what year their hood started back then.
