Big Mizz has got to be the most laid-back Crip/Hoover that I have ever been introduced to. 💯

Respect out to Big Mizz, jo' Bo and the host of UTG. It was a trip hearing Big Mizz speak of my childhood homeboy Bertraine 43 Third world. Me and Bertraine go all the way back to 1976-77. Our crew on Bertraine blocc 43 was me, Bertraine , Kevin & Cal, and Squiller aka Squally today. Yeah I stayed directly across the street from Bertraine next door to Mr. Tokyo. On October 31, 1977 a big dispute between Bertraine and my family jumped off on that blocc and my family had to get down with all the 4 Trays on 43rd from Avalon to Central. Bertraine cousin Big Cliff and his bro Lynn was involved also the squabbling went on for 4 nights straight until the owner in the backhouse behind us evicted us because my family refuse to stop fighting and we got evicted and we ended up migrating to the East Side LBC and thats where i became a Insane Crip. R.ip. to Bertraine and his sister Buddah. I didnt see Bertraine again until 1984 at the LB fresh fest concert. I spotted him getting out the blue brougham with his 3rd World crew and before i got a chance to approach him he through up 3rd World and my homeboy Iceberg thought he was throwing up a blood sign and tried to swing on Bertraine and missed and bertraine swung back and knocked Iceberg out and it was a stand off and I can here Bertraine yell out "fuck that shit cuz he tried to swing on me for no reason" and the homeboys without a doubt agreed and was puzzled as to why Iceberg did what he did and immediately afterwards from a short distance gunshots rung out and everyone scattered and I never got a chance to speak to my homeboy Bertraine R.i.p.

Great job in giving the Hoover connection in the origin and inception of other sets/gangs in Los Angeles, yet more importantly the touching on the positive change needed for the Black gangs to reform themselves to compete in a ever technical advancing world. The message was clear.(I heard it)!!!
