Travis's excitement alone is so contagious. All of them obviously but when Travis gets excited about something it's hard not to be filled with happiness.
Which is funny because now, in C3, we have the guys who are just stoic and poker faced and the girls get absolutely giddy every time Mighty Neon is mentioned. 😂
I am TRUSTING THE PROCESS with Ashley being so happy with how Percy and Vex’s relationship works out this season. Mostly because my other option is pain.
@@kaylawallet420 also it would change way too much for Bells Hells and the future in general, wouldn't it? I hope they just decided to put more focus on the Decision of the person and.... well.... god
E4 hits so hard after EU:Calamity, at some point I hoped I won’t see other members of the Brass Ring, but they just had to make me cry. And even the art style is the same
8:40 The fact that Ivan van Norman and Spenser Starke made up the Five Skulls card game is amazing! Such an original take on a familiar game mechanic that was simple and easy to follow.
I love how LOVM is like happening in an alternate timeline parallel to the original VM where the hatchling subplot was only hinted at but never actualized! Although I am looking forward to certain scenes happening, all those "alternative" events brought in pleasant and unexpected surprises! The call back to Calamity and seeing Zerxus again brought tears to my eyes! When the song about the Ruby and the sea came up, it got me thinking, the Ruby is probably contemporary to the VM guys eh? Did Grog meet Jester as a kid? I wonder...
I love calamity so much. Loved the nod to it in the show. Basically I fangirled. I really hope you can get a movie or mini series of it off the ground at some point. If you do, Brennan has to be Asmodeus. His voice isn't the first you'd think of for the lord of the hells, but he just plays him so menacingly, I can't see anybody else in that role now.
@@yat282 I was gonna say "They don't make 'em like they used to." But really they just don't fucking make 'em anymore do they? And I am talking about AAA, tons of good Indies of course. Like Baulder's Gate 3, they cooked so long and so hard on that one.
Just watched episode 9. Just absolutely fantastic. Every emotion was hit so well. At 1 point I was standing screaming at the screen. This is S-tier level animation
If anyone is wondering, at 1:12:15 the artist is probably Beksiński, not Basinski. Great dystopian and surreal architecture and weird stuff, I highly recommend his work.
The kaiju fight in campaign 1… I remember loosing my mind years ago when that episode came out. I’m 30: but when I saw the dragon and demon fight after they escaped hell I literally was yelling KAIJU FIGHT and pumping my arms like a kid. Great season so far 🎉🎉🎉🎉
My biggest pet peeve with shows and movies os how ridiculously loud the background music is when im trying to hear dialogue. I have yet to have this issue with LoVM and Im ober the moon about it. Well done everyone.
I mean...no? There are a lot of villains who just want to fuck shit up or hurt people for truly selfish reasons: for the fun of it, out of a sense of entitlement, or to quash their own insecurities. And that's realistic. Unfortunately there are people like that out in the world who are determined to make their problems everybody else's problems. Not everyone (not even necessarily a lot of people) do horrible things because they think they're the right thing to do. Like, if you _enjoy_ that kind of villain, all the power to you. But they're not the best or only legitimate kind. Ripley was incredibly effective as a power hungry, arrogant, conscienceless, low-key racist bad guy in C1, and I honestly think this new dimension to her character they added in TLOVM doesn't fit with the bits of her character from they kept from the Campaign. Makes her clunky.
i absolutely love how they are adapting the campaign! The merging of the story beats for them to fit and still make sense in the context is soooo good! Also the little details here and there make me lose my mind! Like the little bird house with Chetney's name on it in Ank'harel, i was just giggling away
*SPOILERS FOR EPISODES 7-9* Anyone else do a double take when Liam was talking about the Matron of Ravens and how Vax is wondering if he can “put the deal to good use”???? Is that how we are getting Percy and Kash back?? Is the deal with the matron changing from the campaign so instead of after Vecna, it’s to get his friends back??? I need answers now, not next Thursday 😭
They try to streamline the magic and abilities a lot in the show, so what I'm guessing is that since there is no following to Raishawn's dracolich attempt, they might simplify it to a magic healing something (like in the DnD no honor among thieves movie) and when they defeat Raishawn, they use it on Percy. I don't think they're going to leave Percy dead. Although they could leave Kash dead, but I don't quite get the purpose other than having a name character get killed in the battle.
Please tell me we're getting another one of these when the season ends? This was such a delight to see! You can just feel the joy that they have making the show! Thank you Critical Role! Keep on rockin'! 🥰🥰🥰
Amazing, I've just watched the new Tomb Raider animated series and it lacks everything. No story, empty characters, and the drawings were boring. The Legend of vox machina has everything, the details, the love!
Working with this crew in any capacity must be such a joy and amazing life experience, makes me wish I got into voice acting when I was younger, just for the smallest chance to be able to work with any single one of them.
I love and hate y'all in the most respectful way possible. I cried and laughed so much (1-9 espisodes.) I have now meet with my therapist about all the emotion I have felt.
I really hope they do Calamity someday and get Brennan to voice Asmodeus. Heck if you could literally model Asmodeus off of Brenna and have him do motion capture or something to get those facial expressions of his, that would be amazing too.
Literally saw the intro when y’all released the opening before the episodes, looked at my wife and said, “they really went anime on this opening and I love it”.
So, having watched this right after s3 e7-9, I wish they would have talked about that. Also, would appreciate some more from Taliesin on how recording was for some of those spoiler moments at the end of episode 7 and beginning of episode 8
This was awesome! You never know if a commentary track (like they used to do on DVDs) will be good, but this was so revalatory! Lots of stuff I didn't notice - like the bubbles in the hot tub scene.
I'm catching up to the episodes of the first campaign and it's wonderful to see how CR expand so massively. Great job guys, thank you for the amazing content
It's hard to remember that the anime is technically it's own universe apart from the campaign. The small yet extreme changes keep the excitement and the thrill rolling
Damn, episodes 3 and 5 connect so well plot-wise, that I didn't even notice that I missed 4. It's good that I decided to listen to it before a new batch of episodes.
Look at the JOY on that man's face when he's allowed to draw crazy character designs ❤❤❤ FREE HIM LET HIM DRAW ALL THE MONSTERS♡♡ (Hell was awesome Yes)
SPOILERS for episodes 6-9 LOVM & C1/THEORY TIME!!! Are they going to make Pike a Descendant of the Everlight's kids in Downfall because of the blood suggestions by Xerxes??? Also maybe this is how we get the Trickfoot mini arc with her family and then the ever so famous Keyfish cliff dive scene???
TLOVM is proof that if the people who made the original are making it (or at least heavily involved), you will get something really, really good and any change will still feel right
Let me say, as someone who somehow stumbled upon the animated show - THIS SHIT IS AMAZING!!! Man, kudos to you guys. Everything about this show works so well. Unfortunately in my excitement though, I read some spoilers that have left me with mixed emotions and so I got to ask, is the ending and plot of TLOVM going to deviate from the campaign? Because I’m already seeing some variation (which i mean I’m not butt hurt, I’m all for reimagination!) I’ve always dreamed of making my own show and I got to say, this is as close as I’ve ever seen something come to fulfilling my vision. The action, pacing, comedy, romance, and especially voice acting is top notch!! Can’t wait for more, I’m already so attached to the characters
Thank you Critical Role for giving life to such wonderful and memorable characters which are so dear to my heart, experiencing Vox Machina, it is truly a privilege to be alive.
