I'm very happy they went with a more cartoony, stylized look for the game instead of realistic. It'll really help the game from dating, unlike most open world games.

Go outside the Shrine for breathtaking overworld sights (You are nearly crying now) 3. Talk to an Old Man in a cave with a bonfire, (First Zelda fans cry) 4. Discover a Korok (Wind Waker fans cry) 5. Get closer to those VERY FAMILIAR ruins and read "Temple of Time" on screen (Ocarina of Time fans Cry)

Wow, there are a lot of people who call themselves Zelda fans who can't even handle one game that is different from the rest. It's time for a new spin on the formula and I think that this is a great way to do it. I personally always wanted a Zelda game that was more open and free, I want to explore and make my own adventure.

This game is truly special - I am on my second playthrough and constantly seeing new things not discovered in my first playthrough

As a huge gamer I'm still shocked by just how much I'm looking forward to this over any other game in 2016. A true evolution of the franchise gameplay and a giant world full of subtlety, character and intrigue. Sure, maybe I've been overcome with hyperbole, but I couldn't care less; I'm going to be swallowed by this experience come March.

Mr. Eiji Aonuma: I played Ocarina of Time in 1998. Bought the Nintendo 64 and video game at Toys R Us in Palomar Street, San Diego City. For Zelda fans it's almost 5 years of wait to see Breath of the Wild 2. For me, it took 19 years to see Breath of the Wild for the very first time. THE DEFINITIVE MASTER PIECE... At least for me, there is no other above it, because of it's gameplay style and revolutionary system from previous ones. Thank you so much for making this possible. Haved been a Nintendo gamer since 1986!

I'm getting a feel of a little bit of Skyrim and Shadow of the Colossus. Although this makes my heart skip a beat with how much they've changed the world of Legend of Zelda I honestly feel like the little kid encountering this franchise for the first time. I am so excited to see this game! More than all of the other games that are coming out.

* Futuristic caves with crazy writing and cool weapons from the future and/or past. *Lush greenery and huge plains with enemies camping out everywhere. *Giant mountains as far as the eye can see, all explorable and full of ruins, caves, caverns, temples and more to explore *Mysterious relics everywhere telling as story *Insanely quick and crazy violent guardians out to murder anything that moves *shield surfing downhill while simultaneously assassinating bad guys with a futuristic bow and arrow. *Rock Climbing and then paragliding into groups of enemies *Fishing *item collecting *Insanely moody and subtle soundtrack *Taming horses *Collecting food and creating new dishes *Cooking said food over a campfire *Rolling boulders and rocks downhill at enemies *Building weapons *Using the limbs of dead enemies as weapons *The ability to immediately fight the end boss in your underwear with no socks and a stick *A 30 year old legacy of story, folklore, and legend to guide you through this new story Honestly, I'm having a hard time understanding how any of you are confused that THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: BREATH OF THE WILD won E3 Game of the Year. I own all three systems every single generation, and as someone that is excited for a LOT of the games shown this year, not a single one comes close to how excited I am for the new Zelda. How some of you don't understand why baffles me. But out of curiosity, can any of you name a game that has everything I just listed that this game is offering? This is a real question. I'd like to know if it's out there. This game's mechanics and gameplay basically reads like a gameplay greatest hits from every awesome open world game released over the past decade lol.

I think this is what Zelda needed. Maybe not this concept for every new Zelda game n the future, but, I think this fresh new take on Zelda is What 2017 needs.

Hold on, technology is most certainly not a new wrinkle to add to the Zelda series! Last game literally had a section of the world devoted to ancient robots! Technology has always been a part of the Zelda series, albeit with varying amounts.

Holy wow. That is just one continuous work of art - it's like something out a Studio Ghibli film or something -- and the flavor is perfect, too. Love it.

I kind of wish the Shrine of Resurrection was as dark in the final game as it is here.

Maybe I've just drunk too much of the Kool-Aid, but this is the first non-Bethesda open world I've seen that feels like a truly open expanse that can just be explored at the player's leisure. Actually, now that I think about it, Xenoblade X, another Nintendo exclusive has been able to capture that feeling pretty well. #wiiumasterrace Seriously though, this console generation has been really boring. If you have a halfway decent PC, the WiiU is the only console you really need.

The only thing I'm disappointed with is the lack of music. Music in Zelda is one of its DEFINING features. Couldn't they have made different tracks play for each area. At least make it subtle. I hope the dungeons and bosses have catchy tunes. >.>
