That'd be a bad idea as a) if just one ended up as a flop it'll screw the rest afterward and b) would most likely hurt sales of the games themselves. A one-off non-canon movie would be perfectly acceptable as it wouldn't hurt sales and wouldn't affect the timeline(s) of the franchise's storyline.
They should do a mini-series with each episode retelling major moments from the games as animated shorts, look up Pokémon Generations here on RU-vid to see exactly what I mean
This Ghibli style really works with the Zelda franchise. This really has strong reminders of "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind" as well as Marvel Productions' "Dungeons & Dragons". Imagine a Xmas hat being the Minish Cap.
I mean Princess Mononoke is almost a 1:1 of Breath of the Wild. 1) Hero wears a blue tunic 2) Hero rides a 4 legged animal 3) The entire story starts regarding a demonic boar creature 4) Princess Mononoke (San) is more attuned with the spiritual world than the human world and wants to restore what she perceives as balance to the world.
I’d say Breath of the Wild is very based on Ghibli, actually. The music has sort of a Hisaishi style, the guardians, beasts and the ancient aesthetic in general, look really similar to machines and robots you’d see in a Ghibli movie like Castle in the Sky. Plus, the ambience with plants conquering the ruins of civilisation, as well as creatures such as the spirit of the mountain (even the malice, with that dark color and texture) , really remind me of Mononoke, for instance.
I wish this was a real series we got back then. Art style is too good for this setting. Favourite part is 1:27 as the blue much like in BotW fits very well with the glow.

I think Twilight Princess would offer the best animated movie adaptation, especially in Ghibli’s style. It would be such a cast of unique designs as well as such a great story already there. The manga is the first step, and what a great first step it is!
Some of these AI generated images unironically looks like official concept art straight from the 1st 3 LoZ games all the way up until "A Link to the Past." Some of these even lean a bit in OoT especially "Adult" Link.
A full-on Legend of Zelda Anime would be pretty darn amazing. We know the story is there as is the artwork. All that is needed is for it be brought to life.
If we ever do get a Zelda movie, I don't want it to be an adaptation of any one game. I want them to follow in the series tradition and take the basic elements of each story and put a new twist on them that's wholly original.

I doubt that AI art will make real art dissappear, I imagine that most people would prefer to marvel at a human painting which took effort than an AI generated one which has no meaning. I Believe that AI art generators will be an application to benefit certain art forms rather than replace them.

I really really want either Ocarina of Time or Majora’s Mask Studio Ghibli movie! The style fits with Zelda soo well! I wish Nintendo and studio Ghibli did a collaboration of either of those games I mentioned.
What is this music piece? The beginning has a very strong Chrono Trigger vibe. I find it interesting that Link generates pretty well into the classic green tunic, but Zelda is drawn with her oldera design details but in BotW blue.
But the story wut properly go like this "Chapter 1: "The Lone Wanderer" Link was once a famous hero in Hyrule, but after rescuing his beloved Princess Zelda, he decided he needed a break. So he set off to travel the world and experience new adventures. During his journey, Link came across the land of Termina, where he came across a strange mask shop. The shopkeeper, an old man named Sakon, offered Link a special mask, which he called the Mask of Majora described. Link was curious about the mask and decided to buy it. As he put on the mask, the world around him suddenly changed and a somber voice whispered, "I am Majora, the soul of this mask. I will use you to carry out my will in this world." Link was suddenly enveloped in a black mist and found himself in a gloomy city that he didn't recognise. Looking around, he noticed that the residents were threatened by a mysterious force they knew as the "Dark Moon". Link met a young girl named Tael who told him that in three days the "Dark Moon" would fall on the city and destroy all life. Link realized that he had a responsibility to find and unite the Children of the Moon in order to change the fate of Termina. This is the end of chapter 1. In the next chapter, Link will continue his journey to find the children of the moon and save Termina from the sinking."
If there's a Zelda movie on its way,I would prefer it in the style where Link would monologue and speak to himself in his entire journey while limiting his interaction and speech with other characters.This will keep him as a mute protagonist while also gave him some way to speak without spoiling his personality.
Ever since I watched Princess Mononoke a Zelda adaptation/Film from Studio Ghibli or at least in the style is all I ever wanted and this reinforces that feeling 10 fold
It works so well considering that there are so many titles with their own renditions of characters. Amazing! A Zelda anime would be an absolute joy if it were to happen. I'd prefer it over a live-action tbh.

Well it’s cool that they’ve started remembering to just not include any hands in the pictures, since whenever they do they just look so terrible. But thinking about what this is- there’s so much beautiful fan art online of these characters, each one made with skill and passion. And every frame of a studio Ghibli movie was carefully and beautifully drawn by an (underpaid) artist. There’s so much soul behind those pieces, a real person with a love for the art they’re making, and they’re something beautiful about that. I guess you don’t really notice that sort of beauty until it’s gone. This “art”, if it even earns that title, was created by pressing buttons and inputting relatively short commands. It was created by datafarming- taking work from all of those artists and inputting it into this system, to create something that isn’t a copy or a work of art, but an amalgamation of many works of art. With each image that’s created, the AI follows the same procedure, but with a different pool of images. Although labor and study was involved in creating the AI and up keeping it, the instances of creation of “art” are just following a list, and faster than any human possibly could. The ai does not know why each brushstroke has it’s thickness, it doesn’t even know or care (it cannot) why it does anything in particular. It can’t enjoy works of art, it can’t touch a tree to feel the grooves in its bark or feel the shape of a human face, or experience a life to inspire its art. It gives, and yet it only takes.

I also love how I feel like I’ve seen each and every reincarnation of Link. I’m honestly am having trouble finishing watching the video because of the fire song choice and the amount of emotion you put in each face. My heart is breaking for the characters from just a single image! This is stunning gorgeous and moving work!

Did I really just spend 4 minutes and 16 seconds watching a slideshow of various images of characters from Zelda in the ghibli art style? Yes. Yes I did. It was time well spen.
Midway through this video, I had a thought: The Legend of Zelda is one of the best stories ever told. A hero's journey ripe with atmosphere, willpower, and the fate of the world on a character who struggles but doesn't complain, fights through hell to save the world, recruits friends to help along the way regardless of fear. All this because it's the right thing to do. A beacon of light against a more powerful darkness. Every step he takes is towards a better world. Link is just a man, but he's more. He's a hero in the truest form of the word.
This is the only thing I like about AI art. Sometimes It's so good that it almost like it's grabbing screen shots from an alternate timeline where we all share nostalgia for shows or movies that never existed in our timeline 🥹
