As a fellow sax player, yeah, it’s awesome to hear classical saxophone. It’s just NEVER used in orchestral music. I loved getting to play in orchestra when I was in college getting my music degree!
@@kade_the_cin I’m not a sax player, so I don’t know, but I’ve seen a bunch of sax players say it was alto sax, including one who’s entire channel is analyzing Zelda music. I don’t know for sure, like I said, “I believe” I *might* be wrong, but I can almost guarantee it
@@holyelephantmg8838 actually I think it can be played on a alto sax and soprano sax (I accidentally wrote sousaphone in my other reply which is a tuba), but the soprano can play in a higher pitch than the alto so it’s a bit easier to play the melody.
@@D4C_Gaming Just so you know, while you absolutely SHOULD play BOTW, Nintendo has made it very clear that you can come into TOTK completely fresh. If you really wanna get your hands on it, don’t hesitate.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard the main legend of Zelda theme be used better before. Right at the end, when all hope seems lost, that’s when we find the courage to stand, that is the perfect thematic use of the legend of Zelda theme, that of courage trumping all else
Putting Ganon's theme followed by the main theme for the series was masterful in showing the ever going battle between him and everyone that opposes him
@@femckotoneFUCK Nintendo as a corporate entity, it’s wild to me that such blatant baiting is something they can just get away with because they’re so much larger than the “offender” that there’s no way they could possibly dispute it. Being shitty and taking as much money as possible is the standard for these companies, so while it’s infuriating, it’s also not surprising.
1:49 to 2:19 Best part of the entire OST, it really conveys the desperation to survive against an ancient evil that’s been destroying the world for decades, hoping to win this last battle and end this nightmare for good…
The first bit of the sax solo is great, but when the drums join in in the background is actually what I live for. Fucking masterpiece and it's only a goddamn trailer.
I love 1:49 as much as the next guy but it feels like no one talks about 2:44 enough the amazing buildup at 2:30 the intensity at 2:36 the immaculate drop at 2:44 This is honestly my favorite musical bit. The series theme combined with the drums makes this feel like a story of a valiant hero, but the drums drive home the idea there is still danger for this hero (Link) (Now that we have had the game for a bit it is safe to say we are the danger)
I like 2:44 cause its a song from some older game I think I might’ve heard it in oracle or link’s awakening, also termina field had a remix of it? Edit: Its from the original zelda but used in a lot of the 2D games as well
It had just finished rainjng when i saw the trailer, and when the sax hit, the sun peaked through the clouds for a bit. It was so poetic i genuinely cried.
when they do a TotK concert, i expect this song as the overture, is not in the game, but damn, i lives this song for the entire time till the game dropped
0:30 the botw main theme kicks in, with some differences and then it hypes up just-to drop back down, truly a masterpiece, and then at 2:50 the sax is SO good, truly in love with this song
2:44 watching the trailer live and hearing this part gave me so much nostalgia. The first Zelda game I played was TP when I was like 7-8, and ever since then I fell in love with the franchise. This part was just so sentimental to me and I get goosebumps every time I hear it
Having just finished the game for the first time a couple days ago, hearing this again is awesome, because I just remember how excited I was for this game, and it surpassed my expectations. Easily
If you listen closely at the beginning of the music, you can hear the beginning part of the sacred duet from Spirit Tracks. And not too long after, you can hear the beginning part of the Skyward sword end credits.
This is one of my favorite songs ever in all of gaming, I NEEDED to listen to this ❤️😩 Also I love how the Ganon part at 1:10 sounds like one the parts of Ganon's Theme from A Link to The Past ❤️
i remember before the game’s release everyone wondering what piece of music was being referenced in that first part, and then you play the game and find out which moment it represents :’)
I like to listen to this masterpiece during tense boss fights or when I'm climbing especially tall mountains and no other song or game has made wacthing a stamina wheel go down so intense and glorious at the same time. The best time was when I was climbing up dragon Zelda to get the Master Sword. After a couple of tries I finally landed on her tail at 1:01, nearly fell off a couple of times as I made my way up the serpent but by the time 1:48 hit I was full sprinting along the dragon's back! I wasn't a nintendo kid so BotW was my first Zelda game but moments like this make me jealous of Nintendo kids.
This hits hard. There is no convincing me otherwise every piece of Zelda ost hits hard as fuck . Fight me if you think I’m wrong . I also have the irresistible urge to learn saxophone to play this .
