I'm still waiting for another dark zelda game.

I begged my mom to buy a Nintendo Power magazine, just because it came with this trailer on a special DVD. Back then I had no RU-vid or DVR, so having this trailer in a home format blew my mind. Took forever to boot it up and watch it.

I remember I used to watch this trailer endlessly when I was in middle school. This game is the only game that has met my expectations of what I wanted it to be.

Remember when we thought these graphics were super good and realistic? My, what time does...

This game is nearly 20 years old and still my favorite.

I want another dark, gritty zelda game, like a Twilight Princess 2 or something. I thought this game was perfect in every way shape and form. From the music to the characters to the dungeons to the story. It was just breathtaking at the time and still is. My favorite Zelda game with Majora's Mask being second and Wind Waker being third.

This game is old as hell and I wasn't old enough to hype it but god damn just watching this I can imagine the hype was as strong as the BOTW hype

After having finished this truly legendary game again in 2023 on the Wii, I can say it still holds up exceptionally well. My first Zelda game and I could not imagine a more wonderful source from which to draw from in my life, it still feels just as good to complete now as it did then. A beautiful work of art

The bridge scene at the end sent goosebumps down my spine, and I've done that battle so many times already it amazes at how well the scene was pulled off, it felt like a real show down. I don't think any other Zelda could ever top a scene like that.

It's so interesting to watch this now knowing the final product. I too followed this game intensely up to release and purchased it for GC. It's interesting to see what changed after this trailer. Midna's hair looks very different, Epona looks different, and they were using Link OOT sound effects for this. So cool to see that progress. I love TP 🥺

Proud to NOT sell my gamecube, was forgotten for years in a box. Now i can play this game in this quarantine.

This was literally so hype. I watched this over and over again and learned the background music on piano by ear. I was SO EXCITED and I still get the same way every time a new Zelda game is released.

I remember being 4-5 when Ocarina of time came out, falling in love with the game along with the rest of the world. I remember when the GameCube came out years later and the internet was just really taking off. Watching the trailer and teaser for this game online was unreal… the graphics were just so beyond anything I’d ever seen. It was such a transitional time for games, and for me because I was almost a teenager when this finally came out. It was like me and the franchise were growing up together… and I got this game along with kingdom hearts 2 for Christmas, another game I’d been waiting for almost 5 years to come out. It was like revisiting my young childhood as it was about to end, seeing how Zelda and Kh had grown and changed too… I don’t think I’ll ever experience those feelings again.

This is my first and favorite Zelda game, with my second favorite Zelda character (Midna) and my third favorite incarnation of the princess! >w

BOTW may be the series’ magnum opus, but this will always be my favorite Zelda adventure and I pray they bring it back with unreal engine

I watched every trailer, every interview, every breakdown, gameplay video, read so many articles and previews, everything leading up to this game. I was so hyped for it. It instantly became my favorite Zelda game the day It released. Beat it 4 times in the following few weeks and beat several more times as the years rolled by. Can’t believe it was so long ago. It feels like it was yesterday. This is still my favorite Zelda game.

I've never been as hyped for a game as when this trailer came out. It was everything I wanted and it still remains my favourite Zelda to date (I've played them all). Maybe even my favourite game. I go back to watch this trailer from time to time just to experience a slither of that same hype. Still love it to bits.

This trailer still has my favorite single piece of video game music I've ever heard. I could listen to this all day and not get tired of it.

People say this format was super repetitive and bland, but there's a lot in this trailer than when it originally came out you'd be like holy crap. While showing new things to excite you they were nowhere near spoiling the game. Meanwhile nintendo had to hide a lot from us while marketing TotK, which I think more than anything is because if they showed you an explorable underground where you light it up they would have depleted the main separating factor from BotW within their trailer. I definitely think the traditional 3D formula was not nearly as bland as people think.

For me, this is still one of the best trailers for a video game ever made! The timing with the music and black fading at the end before Link slashes, just perfect and so good😊

The nostalgia of this older Zelda TP trailer, remembering how after all that despise people had for Wind Waker having cartoony graphics to us all loving Wind Waker to Twilight Princess showing around and we were all amazed by it with people finally getting a more realistic but darker like Zelda game like Majora's Mask.

OMG!!! I have clear memories of the old days when TP was announced and the long agony of waiting for the release date. Maybe I watched this video 100 times or more during those days. I still get goosebumps when I hear that music.

It's hard to overstate how big the hype for this game was.

Always loved this trailer, you can find a similar cinematic by waiting to start up at the title screen (at least on wii lol). The music is spectacular and builds up such strong hype for the game. So good and i love it

They should have kept this visual style when they improved the graphics. It looks dark yet it makes me want to play it more.

This is the best Zelda game ever. I always enjoyed ganondorf. I didn’t know he was in this game until almost finishing the game. I enjoyed the battle so much. The one vs one man to man was my favorite lol. The theme music, environment etc.

This is my favorite Zelda game! I feel like this one is underrated, and in my opinion this game was better than Ocarina of Time. Don't get me wrong, Ocarina of Time is amazing but I just felt like Twilight Princess suited me more.

Seven years later, and I still think this is one of the best trailers I've ever seen. It shows so much yet so little, just a trailer should. The music is perfectly synchronized, the realisation excellent. All of this only make one thing; get you hyped.

I wish the detail when Wolf Link turns on his senses when covered in rats persisted in the final game. Or at least in Hd. Because that detail was brilliant to show his genuine discomfort being grappled by hairy rats he can only see as a wolf.

Wow - I haven't seen this game for years and years and when I look at it now it's like a little piece of my soul lights up, this game was truly a work of art. The atmosphere was phenomenal and the scenery was breath taking. You also felt very connected with a lot of the characters. This is will always have a special place in my heart :)

Even before the game was finished, before it was polished and before we even knew much of the plot... something about it was still so magical and made you feel like playing the game would just be an entirely different and literally epic experience. ♥
